The metal chrome finished top is a nice touch on the Monkey 125.Products to buy together - Another product to purchase when looking to further increase the performance on the Monkey 125 would be a full exhaust system, which when paired together will allow for a freer air flow through the engine.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the air filter round taper 42 mm is a simple task that took 0.7 of an hour complete. Some mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is what is required to gain aceess, remove the original air box and secure the air filter round taper 42 mm to the throttle body inlet tube.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products SP Takegawa sell to be on par when compared to what most other companies sell their products for and the air filter round taper 42 mm is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the air filter round taper 42 mm, I chose EMS for an earlier arrive date. About quality and texture - Excellent quality with nice looking chrome end cap and Takegawa branding.About the feeling of use - A pretty small air filter for the intake that looks great bolted directly to the trottle body.Products to buy together - To extend the service life of the air filter a air filter cover is a good idea, product # 03-01-1119 for this shape air filter.Difficulty of installation - If your motorcycle has the room for installing direct to the throttle body like mine it is an easy five minute job.Cost performance and comparison with other products - Considering these are not a cleanable air filter I find them expensive and maybe could have spent the same money on a cleanable one from K&N but I do enjoy the SP Takegawa product line more on my motorcycle.About shipping and packaging - Combined sea freight shipping to Australia is good value and does take around eight weeks but all item arrived intacted due to the great packaging.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - SP Takegawa have a few different styled air filters with different sized mounting options, so do your research to ensure the correct air filter is selected.View Detail
I enjoy viewing photos of other peoples Honda Monkey 125s and coming up with my own DIY parts when possible and this Specials Parts Takegawa air filter will be used for a future intake mounted directly to the throttle body. The numerous options available from Special Parts Takegawa make this possible as I required a small air filter to fit into the available space on the motorcycle. The quality of this air filter is excellent and I only wish they Special Parts Takegawa would make their air filter cleanable but if used along with their air filter covers will prolong the life of the air filter between changes.View Detail
I ordered this one to match carburettor MIKUNI VM26, it's very nice and good with the price of money. I just wasn't satisfied because the shipping was so slow, it took me a month to receive it. View Detail
This is the only one I have used for many years. It is a consumable item and I replace it regularly. I don't use it in the rain, but I have no complaints.View Detail

Really easy to install and mainly just a soft foam insert. I used both of the pieces of foam sent in the package to provide maximum filtration.View Detail
About quality and texture - The rear rack from Honda is made from pieces of flat bar and steel tube with precision bents that are TIG welded together and plated with a chrome surface finish, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - I feel having a factory Honda rear rack on the Monkey 125 is the best choice for aesthetics but when it comes to practicality this is not the case due to it's small cargo bed dimensions but really it'd all about the look for me.Products to buy together - A key product to buy together with the rear rack for me was a fender eliminator as I wanted to add as much of the original Monkey Z50 styling back to the Monkey 125 and that started with removing unwanted black plastic parts.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the rear rack is a simple task that took 0.5 of an hour to complete. Some slight mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to secure the rear rack to the frame.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Honda sell to be very reasonable when compared to what some of the other companies sell their products for and their rear rack is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being a no significant cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the rear rack, I chose sea EMS for an earlier arrival date as I was in no particular rush to install the product. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - For my location, when purchasing a special factory Honda product like this, it is best to do so from Webike Japan. There are a few local stores selling parts for the Monkey 125 but the product is not available.View Detail
About quality and texture - The clutch outer from Honda is made from aluminium casting and steel machining that are secured together, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - I was having issues easily finding neutral and replacing this part solved the problem. The cause was the grooves that wear into the aluminium between the fingers where the clutch disks lay.Products to buy together - A key product to buy together with the clutch outer for me was new clutch disks, there are many options available but I thought the reinforced 6 clutch disk kit Kitaco sell was ideal for my engine setup and it has also replaced other worn aluminium parts in the clutch mechanism.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the clutch outer is a advanced task that took 1.5 hours to complete. Mechanical aptitude, the use of special tools and the knowledge of disassembling the engine is required to secure the clutch outer to the transmission main shaft.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Honda sell to be very reasonable when compared to what some of the other companies sell their products for but this is not the case with the clutch outer as the pricing seems excessive.About shipping and packaging - With there being a significant cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the clutch outer, I chose sea freight to save some money as the part was not required immediately. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Webike Japan is the first place I look to for all my motorcycle needs. Common sense and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to secure the cover to the cylinder head after transferring over the O-ring. It's worth your while having an inspection every now and then and keeping an eye out for pieces of rubber in the filter.Products to buy together - Parts within the cam chain tensioner system suffer significant wear with engine upgrades that allow for much higher RPM riding and a key product to buy together with the cam chain guide roller is the cam chain tensioner push rod head.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the cam chain guide roller is an advanced task that took 1 hour to complete due to the disassembly of the engine required to access the area in which the guide roller is installed.
