A nicer and stronger alternative to purchasing an OEM chain
About quality and texture - The 420DS series steel chain from DID is a non-sealed chain with a clip type joint link and made using high quality processes and steel materials.About the feeling of use - A nicer and stronger alternative to purchasing an OEM chain for my friends Honda Grom. Being the same size as the original chain but being made using superior performing parts, he will now no longer needed to adjust the chain as often as he did with the original drive chain.Products to buy together - With the original drive chain setup now around 7000 kms, a few key products to purchase would be a 420 front drive sprocket and 420 rear driven sprocket as all three parts require when there is that much wear on the three components.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the 420DS series steel chain is an simple task that took 0.5 of an hour to complete. Some mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to secure the chain around the front and rear sprockets before making the adjustment for the correct chain slack.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products DID sell to great value when compared to what most other companies sell their products for and the 420DS series steel chain is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the 420DS series steel chain , I chose EMS for an earlier arrive date. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Webike Japan is the first place I look to for all my motorcycle needs. From service parts to performance products and even motorcycle gear and apparel, Webike always seem to satisfy my needs in regards to availability and pricing.
About quality and texture, I can confirm that the quality is great and that the material used is steel for all parts of the drive chain and is of a non sealed style chain.About the feeling of use, Perfect introductory priced 420 drive chain for a original engine setup. I find the drive chain requires much less adjustments to keep the recommended chain slack then the original drive chain.Products to buy together, The drive chain system on any typical motorcycle is made up of three parts that ideally are replaced together so it would be good practice to also add a front drive sprocket and rear driven sprocket to your cart.Difficulty of installation, I can say the fitment of the drive chain for my installation was very easy due to the simple process of connecting the drive chain ends with the joining link and open access to the swingarm area.Cost performance and comparison with other products, Pricing of this product is great, You receive a drive chain made from quality and stronger materials. There are no cheaper options with the 420 pitch design that I could find, even the original Honda part is more expensive.About shipping and packaging, My order was shipped within 24 hours of the product being in stock and I received a few emails advising me of the status up until the order was dispatched. The order arrived within the estimated date range and was extremely well packaged. I found the link supplied to track my order very useful while I was waiting for the order to land in the country.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, I have no concerns or cautions when purchasing from Webike. I cannot recommend Webike enough for the majority of your biking needs. They not only sell aftermarket parts and bike gear but also OEM parts for your repairs and servicing needs.View Detail
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of 420DS series drive chain from DID, a steel non sealed chain that is stronger then the 420D series chain and will last much longer.About the feeling of use: Looks the same as the Honda drive chain but due to the stronger design I can now ride longer between adjustments.Products to buy together: Some new Honda front and rear sprockets would also be desirable to purchase along side the DID drive chain.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about 30 minutes, undo the jointing link and discard the old chain then feed the new drive chain around the sprockets and connect the chain using the jointing link. Adjust of the drive chain slack will also be needed to complete the installation. Not difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a stronger drive chain then the similarly priced Honda replacement chain that will save you time as less adjusting will be required and will last longer.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my perferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: The genuine Honda drive chain is also DID but the 420D series and 106 links is the Honda Grom length.View Detail
About quality and texture - Excellent quality, came in a sealed bag, lightly lubricated and free from any defects.About the feeling of use - Nice smooth opertion with a little noise, the strongest 420 non O-ring chain I could find.Products to buy together - Advisable to pair a new chain with new sprockets and I went with the ones available from Kitaco.Difficulty of installation - Easy installation due to the clip style jointing link, worth cleaning up the area before fitting the new part.Cost performance and comparison with other products - Due to being a non O-ring chain the price is very good and the other brands in the same specs are priced similar but I prefer the DID brand.About shipping and packaging - Shipping cost was made a little higher due to the weight of the chain, arrived on the date as advertised and had excellent packaging.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - There are lots of different options when it comes time to replace the chain, I chose to stay with a 420 non O-ring chain to keep it cheap and light weight.View Detail
The OEM Honda drive chain is not the best so I was not going with one of them again. The OEM Honda sprockets still have life in them so I was looking for a cheap good quality drive chain to see out the rest of the sprocket sets life. DID 420 pitch 98 links drive chain made in Japan to suit the Honda Monkey 125. Comes with a master link so installation is a breeze and non o ring drive chain so cleaning maintenance is simple. Hoping so see out 5000 kilometers with this set up and them move onto an upgraded DID 428 drive chain in the future from Webike.View Detail
DID would have to my go to brand for drive chains. The OEM Honda Monkey 125cc drive chain is very poor quality from the factory so an upgraded drive chain was required very early in the ownership which was very disappointing. It is great that Webike can supply the Monkey 125cc drive chains to the correct length so no measuring and adjusting of a longer drive chain was required. The installation is straight forward. Just loose off your rear axle and adjusters. Fit the new drive chain and clip style master link which on a low powered motorcycle is so much better then a riveted style master link. Readjust and you are ready to roll. View Detail

About quality and texture - The tappet cap set from SP Takegawa is made from cast aluminium with a chrome surface finish, the quality from the overall fit and finish is reasonable.About the feeling of use - The tappet cap set sure is lovely to look at in regards to it's shiny finishes, but no where near the quality of the billet aluminium tappet cover set I have on the Monkey 125.Products to buy together - Key products to buy together with the tappet cap set would be more shny engine dress covers to increase the appeal of the plain looking engine.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the tappet cap set is a simple task that took 0.2 of an hour to complete. Some mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to secure the tappet cap set to the two locations on the cylinder head.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products SP Takegawa sell to be on par when compared to what most other companies sell their products for and the tappet cap set is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the tappet cap set, I chose EMS for a earlier arrival date. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - For my location, Webike Japan is the first place I look to for all my motorcycle needs. From service parts to performance products and even motorcycle gear and apparel, Webike always seem to satisfy my needs in regards to availability and pricing.View Detail
About quality and texture - The air filter kit from SP Takegawa is made from a dry multi-layered cotton gauze filter with a plastic elbow and metal breather hose fitting, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - Very compact in it's design which frees up space for an oil cooler. The positioning of this open air filter is perfect for protecting it from the environment, with little sacrifice made for the performance gains it offers.Products to buy together - Another product to purchase when looking to further increase the performance on the Monkey 125 would be a full exhaust system, which together will allow for a freer air flow.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the air filter kit is a simple task that took 0.7 of an hour complete. Some mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is what is required to gain aceess, remove the original air box and secure the air filter kit to the throttle body.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products SP Takegawa sell to be on par when compared to what most other companies sell their products for and the air filter kit is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the air filter kit, I chose EMS for an earlier arrive date. About quality and texture - The 420 rear driven sprocket from Kitaco is made from high tensile steel with a black painted finish, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - The black finish looks slick with all the other black back there. A nicer and cheaper alternative to purchasing an OEM rear driven sprocket. Sticking with the original 38 tooth sprocket in the 420 pitch for this stock engine that is used predominantly at higher speeds and preferred to stick with the original gearing to not increase the RPMs during commuting.Products to buy together - With high kilometers on the original drive chain setup, a few key products to purchase would be a 420 front sprocket and 420 drive chain as all three parts are required when there is that much wear on the three components.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the 420 rear driven sprocket is an intermediate task that took 0.7 of an hour to complete. Some mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is what is required to remove the rear wheel from the swing arm and secure the driven sprocket to the hub reusing the existing hardware.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Kitaco sell to great value when compared to what most other companies sell their products for and the 420 rear driven sprocket is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the 420 rear driven sprocket , I chose EMS for an earlier arrive date. About quality and texture - The pedal end rubber from G-Craft is made from a soft yet durable rubber, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - The appearance of the G-Craft brake pedal is much improvement over the original pedal but I find the included toe piece lets down the look as it does not match the toe piece on the matching change pedal, so I have opted to rectify that by adding a toe piece of the same design.Products to buy together - The product to purchase together with the pedal end rubber is the pedal end shaft from G-Craft. The pedal end shaft is critical to use as i allows for the pedal operation via the toe.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the brake end rubber is a simple task that took 0.1 of an hour to complete. Common sense and the use of some warm water will allow to easily slide the pedal end rubber over the pedal end shaft on the brake pedal.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products G-Craft sell to be on par when compared to what most other companies sell their products for and this is no different for the pedal end rubber.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the pedal end rubber, I chose EMS for an earlier arrival date. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Webike Japan is the first place I look to for all my motorcycle needs.
