Offers a stunning new look with the re-location of the rear brakes position
About quality and texture - The rear brake bracket from Tyga Performance is made from billet aluminium with detailed machining and a silver anodized surface finish, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect..About the feeling of use - The rear brake bracket offers a stunning new look with the re-location of the rear brake calipers position and improved stopping power when the Brembo brake caliper is added.Products to buy together - The Honda Grom is an inexpensive motorcycle with a lot of low quality parts from the factory, so the purchasing of other high quality parts like this rear brake bracket from Tyga Performance would be perfect but the essential product to purchase to complete the installation is the Brembo P2 brake caliper.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the rear brake bracket is a intermediate task that took 1 hour to complete. Some mechanical aptitude, knowledge on disassembling the Honda Grom and the use of basic hand tools is what is required to secure the rear brake bracket between the rear axle and swingarm.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Tyga Performance sell to be higher then what most other companies sell their products for and the rear brake bracket is no different, but this is due to the high quality materials used and the consistent high quality finish of their products.About shipping and packaging - With there being no significant cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the rear brake bracket, I chose EMS for an earlier arrival dates. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - For my location, purchasing Tyga Performance products from Webike Japan is the best option when taking into account the shipping cost but depending on where you live you may be better off purchasing from Webike Thailand due to the much low product pricing.
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the rear brake bracket from Tyga Performance, a very solid designed brake bracket made from aluminium with a silver anodised finish and beautifully finished edging.About the feeling of use: The solid design of this brake bracket has peformed well securing the brake caliper and moves without restrication when chain adjustments are required.Products to buy together: A front brake bracket to upgrade the front brake caliper would also be desirable to purchase along side rear brake bracket.Difficulty of installation: The process to install just the rear brake bracket takes about one hour, the load needs to be removed from the rear wheel to loosen and partial withdraw the rear axle. This will allow the Honda rear brake and it's bracket to be removed before fitting the Tyga Performance rear brake bracket in it's place and then re-install the rear axle. Not difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a well designed rear brake bracket made from quality aluminium but by no means the cheapest available for the Brembo caliper ipgrade when compared to the likes of Tanaka Trading.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my perferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: Having the rear brake bracket designed for the brake caliper to sit below the swingarm do look aesthetically pleasing but will collect and hold more water and road debris.View Detail
* About quality and texture, Machined from aluminum this rear brake bracket has a finish a step above other brands I have purchased in the past.* About the feeling of use, This bracket made the Brembo conversion a breeze to install and the end result looks fantastic with the brake caliper sitting below the swingarm.* Products to buy together, Obviously a Brembo P2 brake caliper is needed to go with this rear brake bracket and a stainless steel brake line is also recommended to complete the setup.* Difficulty of installation, For installation of the rear brake bracket a paddock stand is needed to lift the motocycle to allow for removal of the rear wheel so the new bracket can be positioned between the swingarm and wheel. The process was completed in 30 minutes with no difficultly.* Cost performance and comparison with other products, There are few options when it comes to the rear brake bracket positioning the Brembo caliper below the swingarm and this one from Tyga Performance is not the cheapest but would certainly have to be the best made and for a reasonable price increase over the one available from Active.* About shipping and packaging, I am happy to wait 8 weeks on average for my parts to arrive in Sydney Australia via Webike's sea freight which comes with tracking and insurance so I know I'm covered in case something was to go wrong but with there outstanding bubble wrapping and boxing there have been no problems.* Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, Be sure to purchase the recommended Brembo P2 brake caliper in the listing so no problems arise during the rest of the upgrade. Use the product reviews to assist in making a decision on your purchase.View Detail
About quality and texture - The rear brake bracket from Tyga Performance is made from billet aluminium with detailed machining and a black anodized surface finish, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - The rear brake bracket in black is perfect when you are after that subtle addition and as already stated offers a stunning new look with the re-location of the rear brake calipers position and improved stopping power when the Brembo brake caliper is added.Products to buy together - The Honda Grom is an inexpensive motorcycle with a lot of low quality parts from the factory, so the purchasing of other high quality parts like this rear brake bracket from Tyga Performance would be perfect but the essential product to purchase to complete the installation is the Brembo P2 brake caliper.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the rear brake bracket is a intermediate task that took 1 hour to complete. About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the front caliper support from Tyga Performance. A solid one piece aluminium bracket with fine detailing that looks the part with the Brembo caliper. About the feeling of use: Everything fits and operates as intended and I feel confident in riding the Grom without the fear of any braking issues due to this modification. Products to buy together: A caliper bracket to support a Brembo upgrade for the rear would also be desirable to purchase alongside the front caliper support. Difficulty of installation: The process to install just the front caliper support takes about 20 minutes, removing and discarding of the Honda brake caliper is required before installing and securing the Tyga Performance support with the included Allen key fasteners. Not difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: Great costing as you are getting a high quality machined aluminium bracket and at the time of purchase there were no cheaper options available to support the 2P Brembo brake caliper. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght is my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost and it is fantastic that it has returned as an option once again so I can put my money toward parts and not high shipping costs. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: When considering the necessary parts to complete this Brembo 2P caliper upgrade, the Honda brake line can be reused but for best performance should be upgraded to a stainless steel braided line. About quality and texture - The rear rack from Honda is made from pieces of flat bar and steel tube with precision bents that are TIG welded together and plated with a chrome surface finish, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - I feel having a factory Honda rear rack on the Monkey 125 is the best choice for aesthetics but when it comes to practicality this is not the case due to it's small cargo bed dimensions but really it'd all about the look for me.Products to buy together - A key product to buy together with the rear rack for me was a fender eliminator as I wanted to add as much of the original Monkey Z50 styling back to the Monkey 125 and that started with removing unwanted black plastic parts.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the rear rack is a simple task that took 0.5 of an hour to complete. Some slight mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to secure the rear rack to the frame.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Honda sell to be very reasonable when compared to what some of the other companies sell their products for and their rear rack is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being a no significant cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the rear rack, I chose sea EMS for an earlier arrival date as I was in no particular rush to install the product. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - For my location, when purchasing a special factory Honda product like this, it is best to do so from Webike Japan. There are a few local stores selling parts for the Monkey 125 but the product is not available.View Detail
About quality and texture - The clutch outer from Honda is made from aluminium casting and steel machining that are secured together, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - I was having issues easily finding neutral and replacing this part solved the problem. The cause was the grooves that wear into the aluminium between the fingers where the clutch disks lay.Products to buy together - A key product to buy together with the clutch outer for me was new clutch disks, there are many options available but I thought the reinforced 6 clutch disk kit Kitaco sell was ideal for my engine setup and it has also replaced other worn aluminium parts in the clutch mechanism.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the clutch outer is a advanced task that took 1.5 hours to complete. Mechanical aptitude, the use of special tools and the knowledge of disassembling the engine is required to secure the clutch outer to the transmission main shaft.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Honda sell to be very reasonable when compared to what some of the other companies sell their products for but this is not the case with the clutch outer as the pricing seems excessive.About shipping and packaging - With there being a significant cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the clutch outer, I chose sea freight to save some money as the part was not required immediately. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Webike Japan is the first place I look to for all my motorcycle needs. From service parts to performance products and even motorcycle gear and apparel, Webike always seem to satisfy my needs in regards to availability and pricing.View Detail
About quality and texture - The left cylinder head cover from Honda is made from cast aluminium and a black painted surface finish, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - The finned design of the left cylinder head cover from the Grom is preferred over the flat design of the left cylinder head cover from the Monkey 125 and the colour change gives the engine some character.Products to buy together - More black parts from the Grom engine like the timing cover and crank cover for the left side of the engine and the clutch cover protector for the right side of the engine would be key products to buy together with the left cylinder head cover to balance the colour change.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the left cylinder head cover is a simple task that took 0.1 of an hour to complete. Common sense and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to secure the cover to the cylinder head after transferring over the O-ring. Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Honda sell to be very reasonable when compared to what some of the other companies sell their products for and the left cylinder head cover is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the left cylinder head cover, I chose EMS for an earlier arrival date. About quality and texture - The exhaust system gasket from Honda is made from a high temperature metal graphite, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - No noticeable exhaust leak from the old gasket but since the exhaust system had been installed and removed a few times I thought it best to replace the gasket this time around.Products to buy together - A key product to purchase when carrying out general maintenance on the engine is a new gasket for the clutch cover as this cover is removed quite regularly for access to clean the oil spinner and filter screen.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the exhaust system gasket is an simple task that took 0.1 of an hour to complete. It's worth your while having an inspection every now and then and keeping an eye out for pieces of rubber in the filter.Products to buy together - Parts within the cam chain tensioner system suffer significant wear with engine upgrades that allow for much higher RPM riding and a key product to buy together with the cam chain guide roller is the cam chain tensioner push rod head.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the cam chain guide roller is an advanced task that took 1 hour to complete due to the disassembly of the engine required to access the area in which the guide roller is installed.
