I bought this for summer.It's cheap, light and practical.They consist of CE1 level protectors.For you, CE1 rating can be either a disadvantage or an advantage.I think that makes the point to give lightness and practicality.If you want more hard protection, use CE2 Inner Protector.
One great addon to my JK-053 which I do not regret.Internal lining of the waterproof liner has mesh-like material which feels soft to touch and skin.It can be worn on its own also without jacket as a windbreaker.But I do hope Komine can design the collar to be higher or incoporate a hood. I purchased this jacket as a windproof supplement to my JK-150 Half mesh Jacket.
I think it is appropriate for use in situations where ventilation from Mesh feels chilly, such as early mornings in summer.
In my case, my stomach gets cold and I get mild abdominal pain (laughs).
It is a little windproof, but it made a difference without it.
Only that level of functionality is up.
Compact so it does not get in the way.
