Very Affordable Throttle Pipe when adding new grips for the Grom
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of super throttle pipe from Kitaco. Durable plastic housing with smooth surface which allows for easy installation of the new grips.About the feeling of use: With this product there is no need to attempt to reuse the Honda throttle pipe which makes the addition of new grips a breeze and with a shorter full throttle twist needed makes the Grom even more fun to ride.Products to buy together: Some new grips would also be desirable to purchase alongside the super throttle pipe as the Honda one will be extremely difficult to remove and they are much more comfortable grips available.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about one hour. The right bar end and the right side fairing need to be removed, the switch block needs to be opened and the cable tension needs to be loosened for the throttle pipe to be exchanged. Then reverse to steps to complete the install. Not difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a quality made throttle pipe for a very affordable price and the best value when compared to the other brands.About shipping and packaging: Sea freight was my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: The suitable grip length for the Grom is 120mm when you are looking for options.

Due to less rotation of the throttle required the power comes on faster and that is never a bad thing for a 125cc motorcycle.* Products to buy together, I would recommend also purchasing some new hand grips as the Honda OEM ones will be difficult to remove, Kijima have a great range here on Webike.* Difficulty of installation, Installation requires the tension to be released from the throttle cables, throttle housing opened up and bar end removed before you can remove and replace the throttle tube. The process was completed in 30 minutes with no difficultly.* Cost performance and comparison with other products, There are a total of three brands offering throttle tubes but only the one from Kitaco offers the higher throttle rate and is the cheapest of all to purchase. * About shipping and packaging, I am happy to wait 8 weeks on average for my parts to arrive in Sydney Australia via Webike's sea freight which comes with tracking and insurance so I know I'm covered in case something was to go wrong but with there outstanding bubble wrapping and boxing there have been no problems.* Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, I cannot see a reason why you would not add this product to your Grom. The work required to swap this over isnt worth it in my opinion. I aslo notice i can lower the idle speed but putting pressure on the throttle.View Detail
I ordered the Kitaco super throttle pipe as I was changing my handlebar setup and did not want to reuse the OEM Honda grips and I read that the grip is very difficult to remove from the original throttle tube. Very basic looking product at an extremely low cost. Releasing the tension off the throttle cables is required for installation and then adjusting them for correct operations is a must. I have to say I wish I had installed this product sooner as it seems to making riding the Honda Monkey 125 even more fun due to giving the motor more gas with the same twist of the throttle I would have given it before.View Detail

About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the sealing washer from K-CON, the washer is made from aluminium and has an outer diameter of 20mm, inner diameter of 12mm and a thichness of 1.5mm.About the feeling of use: The oil drain bolt was showing signs of oil leaking and after the replacement of the sealing washer and tightening it to the correct torque value there are now zero oil leaks. Products to buy together: Somemore sealing washer both from K-CON and Honda would also be desirable to purchase along with this sealing washers as these are consumable items that need replacing on occasion. Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about 5 minutes, give the mating surface a clean, fit a sealing washer up the head of the oil drain bolt and tighten down to 24N . m. Not difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a quality part from K-CON that was in stock and ready to ship unlike the Honda sealing washer but the K-CON sealing washer is slightly more expensive. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently this service is unavailable from Japan Post, EMS is much faster which is nice. About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the power filter from SP Takegawa. The filter housings is made from very durable plastic while one air filter element is made from a course sponge for race use and the other from a fine sponge for street use. About the feeling of use: Very happy to have an increase in performance while being able to maintain the same level of intake noise as the OEM Honda setup. Products to buy together: A full exhaust system would also be desirable to purchase alongside the power filter to maximise the performance from the Monkey 125.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about 20 minutes, remove and set aside the airbox covers and screws from the lid. After fitting the power filter reuse the OEM Honda screws and refit the airbox covers. Not difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a durable and high quality part with easy to clean air filter elements as compared to the more expensive pleated mesh style from the likes of K&N that require a special cleaning and oiling kit. About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the oil level gauge O-Ring from K-Pit, made from a soft flexible rubber to help create a good seal.About the feeling of use: The previous owner had significantly over tightened the oil level gauge and damaged the O-Ring, the K-Pit O-Ring fits perfectly with zero leaks.Products to buy together: The timing and crankshaft hole cap O-Rings from K-Pit would also be desirable to purchase alongside oil level gauge O-Ring.Difficulty of installation: The process to install just takes a few minutes, remove the oil level gauge, be sure to discard the old O-Ring and then fit your new O-Ring that has been lubricated lightly with engine oil. Do not over tighten the oil level gauge as if only needs to be finger tight. Not difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a quality part from K-Pit that was in stock and ready to ship unlike the Honda O-Ring but the K-Pit O-Ring is slightly more expensive.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently this service is unavailable from Japan Post, EMS is much faster which is nice. The undertail panel is made from ABS plastic while the taillight is LED and intergrates the indicators into the brake light.About the feeling of use: Final result of the installation is a sleek looking rear end on the Grom and the LED taillight performance is superb but the integrated indicators may become a problem in the future when road worthy inspections are required.Products to buy together: An LED flasher relay would also be desirable to purchase alongside the integrated LED taillight set to simplify correction of the LED indicator flash rate.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about one and a half hours. Remove the seat, rear fairings, rear fender and taillight. Modify the OEM Honda undertail to allow for installation of the TST undertail panel. Relocate the tip sensor and install the TST taillight and wiring harness. Install the rear fairings and seat. Some what difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a outstanding designed and manufactured undertail panel and taillight with intergrated indicators but the price is high as compared to to just purchasing a taillight with intergrated indicators that will fit into the OEM Honda positioning.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently this service is unavailable from Japan Post, EMS is much faster which is nice. A Stainless steel exhaust pipe with a black powder coated finish and a aluminium muffler with a black powder coated finish.About the feeling of use: The all black high mount exhaust looks menacing on the Grom. The performance feels strong down low and I am told this is due to the long exhaust pipe.Products to buy together: An undertail kit would also be desirable to purchase alongside the T-Slash full exhaust system to help with mounting the muffler into position.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about one hour. Remove your OEM Honda exhaust, tail assembly and rear fender. Install new undertail kit and rear fender after you have trimmed off the small section of plastic. Position and join the two sections of the exhaust pipe and then the muffler. Now tighten down all the fasteners and install the exhaust springs. Not difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a well designed and fabricated exhaust system specifically for the Grom but the price is high when compared to many of the other brands that offer high mount exhausts and even higher in price then the lighter weight titanium exhaust from Over Racing.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently this service is unavailable from Japan Post, EMS is much faster which is nice.
