It seems very well made, solid as a bell; a real atavistic look backwards to a different time and place. It really does have that "rocket man", Buck Rogers, tail fins and roaring tail pipes sense to it. It will really look good after you get it to the point of being able to install it.The finish on the lamp body is really almost perfect in those areas where it was easy to polish it close to perfection. Under the bottom of the lamp, though, both items I have are VERY rough with mold marks and imperfections that probably weren't easy to get to and, so, were just given a hit and a(n unkept) promise.You really can't use it as is until that area is addressed. Look at the top picture, under the lamp globe and you'll see the mottled look I'm talking about.And this one was almost a killer for me; the bottom plane of the body isn't flat. It's concave as if it was designed to fit on a specific fender or other curved surface (and it probably was). But there's no mention of it, the pictures don't really address that view and I didn't notice it until we were to the point where we were going to start locating bolt holes.We're going to have to have an adapting plate machined to mate our flat fender side to its curved bottom outline. Shoulda looked sooner but, well, I didn't.But the overall look of the item is just what I thought our bike needed and I hope my client can be talked into the extra cost for the adapters because these lamps absolutely MAKE the final look of this bike.Just know up front that there's more work ahead on the finish.
The hoses are much thicker than stock.Fits perfectly and looks good. If these hold up I don't know why you would spend so much more on other brands. This is a very nice product and solid upgrade from stock hoses for a competitive price. The kit included two hoses for my machine and eliminated the stock thermostat assembly and a bunch of clamps and hoses. While red was the only color choice, it looks pretty good. The hose shapes and sizes are preformed properly requiring little effort for install and clearance. rubber hose hardens over time and is difficult to remove, silicone hose is very easy to disassemble.My only dislike is that the silicone is easily chewed up by the hose clamps.I'd buy these again.View Detail
Purchased this as an gift for my son. It adds some bling to the bike for sure. Should include the oil filter cover with the kit, but you have to purchase that separately.Bling kit added just a splash of Yamaha blue back to bike.The kit was easy to install except the main timing plug. I was unable to locate an Allen wrench that fit it tight, it ended up with some scratched surface on the interior of the plug.View Detail
The RAM Mounts designed for the GoPro do not come with the GoPro thumbscrew or the stainless acorn nut as depicted in the photographs. Instead, they ship the GoPro adapter with a nylock nut, a tiny machine screw, and a washer expecting this to be used in lieu of the GoPro thumbscrew. One can easily re-use their thumbscrew, but the Acorn nuts have to be swapped over from leftover GoPro mounts or purchased, but they are not retained in the RAM GoPro adapters! This allows the nuts to be easily lost.The rubber balls on the RAM mounts combined with the stout center assembly are the biggest selling points of the RAM mounts. It puts the other brands to shame! However, I am not a big fan of the sheet metal screws used to attach the ball assembly to the base. I could understand if it was lean manufacturing to reduce the number of specialized adapters, but almost all of the RAM mounts use the ball assembly. It would have been more secure and practical to produce an integrated ball assembly for each of the bases. That way I could still swap between mounts but bypass the need for the 2 sheet metal screws that could strip out the plastic or fail over time.I would have liked to see the ball assembly integrated into the suction cup mount. I also would have liked to see the thumbscrew included, or at least provide an acorn nut or nylock nut that is retained in the plastic GoPro adapter. This way the end user can simply reuse the GoPro thumbscrew without digging around for extra nuts. The machine screw included with the RAM mount is a smaller diameter that isn't as secure as the GoPro screw, and as a result the included nylock nut (which is too small to retain in the housing anyhow) has a smaller thread diameter that does not allow the use of the GoPro thumbscrew. It's almost as if RAM designed the GoPro adapters as a secondary after thought.I do like the twist lock suction cup mount. It provides a sturdy camera mount on glass or smooth surfaces, and the double socket arm is very secure and adjustable.Overall: 4/5 stars. I don't like how RAM included the GoPro adapter without proper hardware. The use of sheet metal screws to secure the ball assembly to the base is also cheaply done. It should have been integrated from the get-go and still allow for lean manufacturing principles. Otherwise it is a very solid mount.View Detail
I bought these for my bike. The install went very easy. I tested these immediately the very next day on a twisty road 220 km ride. These brake pads are amazing! They do not squeak, and the stopping power is awesome. Much better than the OEM pads I still had on my bike.I ordered the rear pads and it made a huge difference in stopping power! Now I have ordered the same for the front because these pads seem awesome. Galfer is a brand that I will trust with all my future pad purchases.
