I added this camshaft to my modified 2000 XR100. Big gain!!! Noticible power increse!! Also it revs higher!! The cam fit perfect. Fits stock cam journal, and it fit my aftermarket journal. Engine mods as follows: FmF pipe, ATC200 Carb, 120CC piston, Shift up Head, Shift up oil shower journal,Yoshi cam. I like riding this Modified XR100 more than large cc bikes. Pure fun. I used XR80Cam for many years in the vertical engine, but since I wanted to use YOSHIMURACam, I bought it. Yoshimura logo is marked on the surface Tufftride processing and the Tension rises. Although I am using about 5000 km, there is almost no wear of Tufftride. Other Manufacturer also had something that squeezed the heat treatment sweetly, but YOSHIMURA can realize the lightness even if it is processed with the core of the core part cut out from the steel material and it is rotated. As I use it daily up hill and lots of stop and go traffic, I chose the ST-1M. It is easy to install but this cam definitely needs tuning and the stock fuelling is not right. After tuning rides smooth, torque curve is also good. There is no sudden power surge.Only mods chimera short ram intake and TSR slip on pipe. Sprocket ratio 15/33.View Detail
My GROM has 181cc BBK fitted. I replaced my ST-1m(centre of photo) with the POP Yoshimura ST-2M camshaft(R.H. of photo, std.cam L.H. of photo) and reset ECU. The ST-2M idles smoother and feels like the ST-1M at low RPM. At mid range RPM the ST-2M delivers strong smooth power, about the same feel as the ST-1M. At high RPM after 8kRPM the ST-2M keeps pulling and feels strong to near 9kRPM. The St-2M gives my GROM a smooth even power feel throughout the rev range which lasts longer than the ST-1M which feels a bit flat after 8kRPM. I reckon the ST-2M Yoshimura camshaft will make the ST-1M redundant and improving on the ST-2M will be very hard. The ST-2M is a must have for your 181cc BBK GROM. Thanks POP Yoshimura. Machine work seems good with the exception of the oil check/cooler port that wasn't tapped for threads. This hemi head will drop compression if not paired with a domed piston but the bigger, light weight valves sure help it rev much quicker. View Detail
