This helmet is the best you can get for an open-face when it comes to lightness, finishings, neatness and safety. Of course you won't have a chin protection, but the large visor cleverly covers the whole face from the air impact. I'm upgrading from an Arai SZ-F, and the vent ducts and the air circulation in general is greatly improved. Albeit it doesn't reach the comfort level of its direct competitor (Shoei J-Force IV or J-Cruise as well) the SZ-RAM4 beats it in terms of lightness and freshness. Last but non least this specific design is straightforward and a tribute to the great Kevin Schwantz.A word of advice about sizing: I always used a Small Arai (SZ-F, Penta etc), 56 cm, but this helmet, intended for domestic market (Japan), wears dramatically small: I've tried with a thinner internal padding (5mm instead of 7mm) and smaller cheek pads (25mm) but no way, it's very very thigh.
