The pipes fit my 1973 H2 easily and the quality is very good. They clear the stock fender fine when the forks are fully compressed. Granted there are other pipes with more clearance, but that does not matter simply because they clear easily enough. The dimensions fit the aft frame attachment points exactly. K2Tec really should supply rear isolation mounts (rubber mounting) with hardware where they attach on the rear frame, some people may have difficulty making something up.(That's why I gave a 4 star rating.) Hard mounting will lead to cracked brackets eventually. The aluminum mufflers are crafted to a high standard. This system is a great buy and I'd do it again.
OK,here is the initial short review on the K2tec pipes.The are beautifully made !!! The welds look really good and they fit great on the bike.They give plenty of room for the shifter and rear brake pedal !!! When I bought them the were shipped to the house within a week from Japan,they came undamaged and in perfect shape !!! Out of all the chambers I have bought and especially coming from Japan they are a steal for the money !!! They sit a little lower on both sides of the frame which gives you great room for the shifter and brake but if you love the corners at 100 mph,that may be an issue draggin the pipes.This is the first set of chamber I have owned that the stock kickstand does not hit the pipe !!! They bolted right on and fit perfect without having to modify anything……...Now,the only issue I have with them is they could have done a better jobs with the bend off the head pipe !!! They remind me of the old FBG pipes and there is not that much room between the center pipe and the fender maybe an inch or so !!! My front seals are leaking a little but even with them not leaking if you get on the front brake hard I think you may hit the front fender !!! I did not put them on with new copper gaskets and tighten them all the way,as I just fit them for now so when I get them on for good I should know !!! I may have to go with the shorter Z1R fender if that if that is the case !!! Over all they are beautiful pipes and I am very happy to have this set !!!View Detail
Well It's fantastic to see that Webike is a professional company to deal with .I purchased a set of K2TEC Straight Exhaust Chamber TYPE-1 from Webike on the 30th April 2022 for my rebuild of my bike as the rebuild was still to start I selected to have the parts shipped by sea to save costs generally been advised not to due to rough handling and damage due to the extended time for shipping.I watched anxiously as the delivery date approached 4th July I picked up from the post office got home and WOW what a profession job of packing and presentation , I letter thanking me for the purchase outlining the product I purchased, all parts individually wrapped and secured in the strong outer packaging much better than other companies I have purchased from.Thankyou Webike for such a positive buyer experience ;-)View Detail
When you consider that these are mild steel and come with silencers then its hard to knock them at the price. They came well packed and arrived undamaged. I have not tested them on a bike yet, but looking at the paint i think you might want to redo that as it will probably burn off quickly and they would rust. I've had put jolly moto's on several years ago, and while I enjoyed the extra hit, they burned to lowers, causing me to trim way too much of them away, and the take off from a stop it felt like it was in second gear. When I got these, street versions, I thought seeing the small cones, that it may be too docile, but was I ever wrong. Rolls off a stop smartly, and has an electric powerband all the way to 10,000rpm. Best improvement Ive done to it. It's a blast to ride, and the cones are nowhere near the fairing, fit right on, and look top flight! I hope they make these for the KR-!s!View Detail
Excellent product, much better than OEM. Made of aluminum and very strong. Has a filter screen built in and comes with an O-ring. Fits perfectly and is leak free. Handles abuse better than the plastic units during fitment and servicing, plus you cannot discern it from plastic. The oil system is critical so why take chances with plastic?
