[SPROCKET]
■Meet and exceed standards.
The sprocket is a "masterpiece" that goes beyond the framework of industrial products, embodying the will to "manufacture the world's best products" by fully investing the design, processing, and finishing technologies that ISA has cultivated.
The sprockets produced by ISA have a design, color, and feel that you will not find in other brands.
These are not general mechanical parts, but rather the result of meeting the severe standards that ISA itself imposed on sprockets for motorcycles.
ISA considers the performance required for motorcycle sprockets to be "accuracy, strength, and wear resistance", and has adopted the best processing technology, materials, and treatment methods for each of these, and probably the highest level of mass production.
Sprockets are generally regarded as consumables, and are common machine parts.
The high quality and high performance ISA sprockets are the high performance parts that change the way you ride.
[REAR SPROCKET]
We consider the performance required for aluminum sprockets to be accuracy, strength, and wear resistance, and have adopted the best and highest level of processing technology, materials, and surface treatment methods for each of these. The quality and performance of the aluminum sprocket will overturn the common sense and concept of aluminum sprockets.
■Custom-made materials for strength
ISA uses custom-made components.
The material type is "A7075-T6", also called "Super Duralumin", which is commonly used for aluminum sprockets.
However, with the cooperation of material manufacturers, ISA goes one step further and uses custom-made materials with a flat thickness that are not included in the regular lineup.
Why a special order?
There is always a possibility of distortion in the cutting process.
The thickness of the part is optimized for the sprocket to reduce the amount of cutting and to minimize the possibility of distortion during machining.
This leads to shortening the processing time and reducing the waste of materials, and realizes high quality and reasonable price.
■High accuracy" approaching the limit of measurement
ISA's unique concentric processing realizes rotation as close to a perfect circle as possible.
In the machining process of sprockets, what ISA considers most important is the position and diameter of the center hole and bolt hole.
No matter how precise the tooth profile of the circumference is, it is meaningless if the mounting part is misaligned and rotates unevenly.
When adjusting the chain, if the space is unbalanced, it may be due to eccentricity of the sprocket.
By making the cutting process continuous, ISA has dramatically improved not only the machining accuracy of individual parts but also the dimensional accuracy between them.
In addition, the tolerance of the center hole and the bolt hole has been minimized to the utmost limit, and the roundness has been raised to the level approaching the limit of measurement.
How to turn a sprocket rotating at high speed in a perfect circle without deviation.
While pursuing these natural things, we are also particular about the beautiful design.
■Wear resistance that overturns the common sense of aluminum sprockets
ISA's aluminum sprocket has overwhelming wear resistance compared to other brand products.
It is the surface treatment (hard anodizing) as well as the high accuracy that is the decisive factor.
The term "diano treatment" used by ISA was coined from the meaning of "anodized aluminum" which is as hard as a "diamond".
It meets the standards of the aviation industry, military industry and aircraft-related industries, and has 20 times higher hardness than general anodized aluminum.
The 50 micron thick film dramatically increases wear resistance and has a very low coefficient of friction, making it "slippery".
This sprocket is made of aluminum but has good durability and low friction loss.
Also, for off-road use, "mud drainage grooves" have been added. The main purpose is to prevent mud from biting and to discharge it.
This is especially effective in reducing problems such as chain detachment and excessive chain tension during muddy conditions.
