■Custom-made materials for strength

ISA uses custom-made components.

The material type is "A7075-T6", also called "Super Duralumin", which is commonly used for aluminum sprockets.
However, with the cooperation of material manufacturers, ISA goes one step further and uses custom-made materials with a flat thickness that are not included in the regular lineup.

Why a special order?

There is always a possibility of distortion in the cutting process.
The thickness of the part is optimized for the sprocket to reduce the amount of cutting and to minimize the possibility of distortion during machining.

ISA's aluminum sprocket has overwhelming wear resistance compared to other brand products.

It is the surface treatment (hard anodizing) as well as the high accuracy that is the decisive factor.
The term "diano treatment" used by ISA was coined from the meaning of "anodized aluminum" which is as hard as a "diamond".
It meets the standards of the aviation industry, military industry and aircraft-related industries, and has 20 times higher hardness than general anodized aluminum.
The 50 micron thick film dramatically increases wear resistance and has a very low coefficient of friction, making it "slippery".
