How would you feel if you could get a front fork that is almost equivalent to the Ninja ZX-10RR Superbike machine ridden by six-time consecutive World Superbike Champion Jonathan Rey?.
BFF" front fork for Kawasaki Z900RS
The BFF (Balance Free front Fork) provides a stable ground contact even when the suspension strokes, such as when turning.
The BFF is a front fork unit with independent pistons, damping valves, and sub-tanks, and compact units called plug-bolt COMPs for the compression and extension valves, which are placed on the axle holders to minimize pressure balance fluctuations.
Unlike conventional dampers that have a piston equipped with a damping force generating mechanism reciprocating in a cylinder filled with oil, the balance-free mechanism has the extensional pressure damping force generating mechanism concentrated at a single point outside the cylinder.
Therefore, the piston only needs to perform the pump function, and the pressure balance does not fluctuate during the compression process, allowing the damper to generate the necessary damping force responsively from the very low speed range when the damper begins to move.
This technology has proven to provide a high level of suspension performance under all conditions, not only in WSBK, but also in the JSB class of the All-Japan championships.
The damper system is designed to make the rider feel that he or she is getting better at just driving straight.
In the case of a balance-free structure, the distance between the point of stroke and the point where damping force is generated is so great that a delay in response may be a concern.
It is resistant to external disturbances and provides stable movement.
In addition, the axle holders are fully machined and of high quality.
Of course, it is fully adjustable for rebound/rebound damping force and preload.
The inner tube diameter is 43mm, larger than the stock fork at 41mm, which naturally increases rigidity.
