Sports Camshaft

Overall, it's awesome if you have the right dynotuner, stage 1 upgrades. Unfortunately, where I'm living has a bunch a monkey wrenches looking for the booku and trying to take advantage. Would like to learn how to work on my own bike, (no time) but yeah it's really fantastic, it was good for a time until I was overly eager to keep upgrading. I had it plugged on a Honda Future 125fi, which is mostly the same engine as the Monkey or Grom.

About quality and texture, I can confirm that the quality is great and that the material used is all steel in it's manufacture. About the feeling of use, I am extremely happy with this choice of camshaft in addition to a bigger bore kit, the increase in bore size helps with the low RPM torque while the sports camshaft helps with the high RPM power till 10,000 RPM now. Products to buy together, A stronger battery would be ideal to add to your cart to help with the difficulty starting of the bike since this camshaft does not come with the auto decompression system fitted or you can transfer this system over from the original Honda camshaft. Difficulty of installation, I can say the fitment of the camshaft for my installation was easy due to having performed this type of job a few times now, it is not a difficult job but you may want to consult a mechanic to make sure you complete the whole job correctly.Cost performance and comparison with other products, The pricing of the product is good. You receive a well manufactured and designed part to deliver power for the middle to high RPM range but there are cheaper options available from lesser known brands. About shipping and packaging, My order was shipped within 24 hours of the product being in stock and I received a few emails advising me of the status up until the order was dispatched. The order arrived within the estimated date range and was extremely well packaged. I found the link supplied to track my order very useful while I was waiting for the order to land in the country. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, I have no concerns or cautions when purchasing from Webike. I cannot recommend Webike enough for the majority of your biking needs. They not only sell aftermarket parts and bike gear but also OEM parts for your repairs and servicing needs.

About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the sports camshaft from SP Takegawa, wonderful machining throughout and great quality bearings fitted. About the feeling of use: I was looking for a camshaft to make the 125cc engine higher revving which it has and I'm really happy with how it performs on the open road with no real loss of power in the lower RPMs which is ideal for around town. Products to buy together: Some type of fuel controller is needed to be purchase along side the sports camshaft, the SP Takegawa FICON 2 is well suited to this type of performance modification. Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about half an hour, was an easy job to complete after reading through the Honda service manual directions. Not difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: High costing, the cheapest high RPM camshaft available here on Webike is the Endurance hi-power camshaft but does not look to have a power curve anywhere near as good. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght is my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost and it is fantastic that it has returned as an option once again so I can put my money toward parts and not high shipping costs. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: Webike has many camshaft to choose from and the choice is difficult, much research is required to get as close as possible to your desired performance outcome.

Beautifully manufactured camshaft, the detail can be seen in the machining and choice of Japanesse bearing used.About the feeling of use - I was very happy using this camshaft with the 125cc and even more so after going to the 181cc. There is very little to no loss of power down low and an increase in the mid to higher RPM. Perfect for everyday riding.Products to buy together - Since the camshaft is now creating more power in the high RPM the cam chain is now being worked hard. An upgraded cam chain tensioner arm is a great product to purchase together.Difficulty of installation - I found the installation of the camshaft challenging but achievable on my own. There is a lot involved from start to finish with this install but if you do some research and follow the instruction provided you can be completed in an hour.Cost performance and comparison with other products - The pricing of this one is middle of the range but I was happy to pay the extra dollars to get the very little to no loss of power down low which not all camshafts will give you.About shipping and packaging - I think Webike are doing their best with shipping pricing, so I'm happy. Packages ship within 24 hours and arrive very quickly from Japan.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Don't just purchase the cheapest camshaft thinking you will be satisfied with the end result. Do some research and don't be worried about spenting a little extra to get the result you are after.

There are lots of camshafts available for the Honda Monkey 125 engine platform but you really need to decide how you want the engine to perform for how you use the motorcycle. The Special Parts Takegawa sports camshaft is a good option for maintaining the power in the lower RPM range and also giving you more power in a higher RPM range then the OEM Honda camshaft does. Having the option to transfer the decompression mechanism from the OEM Honda camshaft over to the Special Parts Takegawa camshaft is a nice option indeed to put less strain on the battery and starter which no other brand offers from what I could see. Price is a little above average for a Honda Monkey 125 camshaft but worth it in my opinion.
