[ROTOBOX carbon fiber wheels]
The weight of the wheel plays a major role in the performance of the bike.
ROTOBOX Carbon Wheel The BOOST is a lightweight and strong carbon fiber wheel.
Approximately 40% lighter than stock wheels.(It depends on the vehicle.)
The stiffness balance has been revised to provide the best performance in handling, braking and acceleration.
In case of BMW S1000RR, front and rear
・Stock: 11.7kg / ROTOBOX: 6.69kg (42.8% lighter)
DRIVEN sprockets are optional.(Black, Red, Blue, Gold)
520 size: 39-51T
525 size: 39-51T
530 size: 39-49T
[Gloss and matte, choice of finish.]
The clear finish can be glossy or matte as an option.
Both guarantee the highest level of protection against scratches, dents and UV rays.
Gloss finish has a clear carbon pattern and matte finish has a calm and natural appearance.
[carbon fiber fever]
Light weight, high stiffness, superior strength and eye-catching design are obvious reasons for the ever-increasing use of carbon fiber in the motorcycle industry.
Carbon fibre wheels are one of the most important elements to significantly improve the overall performance of a motorcycle (from handling and braking to acceleration).
With the industry's first tri-component composite (carbon - epoxy - stainless steel) and its unique one-piece hollow carbon cast construction, ROTOBOX is redefining quality and manufacturing standards throughout the industry.
It puts carbon fiber wheels at the forefront of innovation.
[Racetrack-inspired design]
The appearance of the ROTOBOX wheel is determined by the philosophy of achieving the best possible performance and safety without compromising on general design guidelines.
The experience and expertise of the professional test team YART (Yamaha Austrian Racing Team) has been incorporated into the wheel design in order to maximize the benefits of carbon fiber composites and reduce all known drawbacks.
The result is a spoke that fits the rim in a substantially wider area.
[UV protective coating]
A special UV-protective clear coating protects the carbon wheels from radiation even though it is very thin.
Clear and smooth rim surface.
[high quality center section parts]
The hubs for each model are CNC-machined from high quality 7075 T6 aluminum alloy, used in the aviation industry, and are permanently assembled on carbon rims.
The ROTOBOX wheel is designed specifically for each motorcycle model and is a bolt-on replacement for the OEM wheel.
Cushion drive, sprocket carrier, spacers and bearings are included.
*Special sprocket is required.
[high voltage core]
This new technology enables high-density and high-precision manufacturing.
The wheel surface became smoother and the wheel became watertight.
[thinner spokes]
The new elegant spoke design brings improvements in aerodynamics and weight.
The spokes are thinner, but BOOST also improves the toughness.
The maximum permissible static load is 280 kg at the rear and 180 kg at the front.
[three types of composite materials]
It is manufactured using ROTOBOX's unique three-component composite material, which combines carbon, epoxy and stainless steel.
A 2.5 mm stainless steel wire is incorporated into each side of the rim to improve impact resistance in the most critical outer areas.
[structural ribs]
Thanks to the high-pressure core technology, the structural ribs are placed inside between the spokes and have the mission of supporting the stress hot spots of the wheel.
As a result, the elegant spoke design of BOOST provides greater stiffness.
The spokes are thinner, but the BOOST is stronger than ever.
・One-piece hollow carbon cast
ROTOBOX is the first and still the only carbon fiber wheel manufacturer in the world to develop and use a unique three-component composite material that combines carbon, epoxy and stainless steel.
In addition to the composite material, the one-piece hollow carbon casting manufacturing process is also innovative.
Several different types of CNC tailored carbon fabric are placed into the molding die by hand.
To increase the impact resistance, a stainless steel 2.5 mm steel wire is added on both sides of the rim.
Liquid epoxy resin is then injected into the sealed and tempered tool under very high pressure.
This process of producing a one-piece hollow carbon cast is based on the application of a special high-pressure resin transfer moulding (RTM) technology.
Ensure the continuous quality, safety and accuracy of the production process.
[Safety first]
The wheels conform to JASO T203-85, a JWL dotE approved safety standard.
[test lab]
Since safety is our top priority, this manufacturer have set up a ROTOBOX test laboratory to constantly check and improve the quality of our products.
[radial phatic test]
The purpose of this test is to check the durability of the rim and hub.
For this purpose, the drum applies a vertical load while the wheel rotates at a constant speed of 80 km / h (front: 340kg / rear: 560kg minimum 500.000 cycles).
[torsion phatic test]
The purpose of this test is to check the durability of the spokes and hubs.
For this reason, the wheel is fixed to the support and the contact surface of the hub is subjected to a torsional moment (front: 442Nm / rear: 790Nm, minimum 100.000 cycles).
[Corning Phatic Test]
The purpose of this test is to check the durability of the rim and hub.
For this purpose, the wheel is fixed to a rotating disc, which, while rotating at a constant speed, is subjected to a bending moment at the center of the wheel (front: 217Nm / rear: 387Nm, minimum 100.000 cycles).
[Impact test]
The purpose of this test is to check the air retention of the tire and the strength of the rim, spokes and hub.
Weight (Front: 225kg / rear: 375kg) striker is dropped from a height of 150mm onto the wheel and an impact load is applied.
