The "Rearset Kit" provides you with a comfortable and functional position to enjoy winding roads.
It is a rearset kit with excellent functionality that can be used in a comfortable position in a wide range of situations from street to sport driving. To change the position, a four-position plate is used to move the footrest position, and two-position left and right pedal arms are used to set the toe position for braking and gear changes. By changing these settings, you can set your preferred riding position.
■Features of the rearset Conventional rearsets are designed to be visually appealing, and many of them are made of complicated parts, and the step position is too far out of the vehicle. When the step position is moved outward, the operability of the vehicle tends to become worse, and small vehicles such as the Monkey 125 (JB02) can be greatly affected by this. SP TAKEGAWA has arranged the parts and base plate to maintain the best riding position even when the rearset is installed, so that the step position can be installed on the vehicle without showing on the outside. This makes it easier to support the body of the vehicle with your feet.
■All aluminum machined rearset parts The parts are machined from high-rigidity, lightweight aluminum and are anodized in beautiful colors for superior corrosion resistance. The master cylinder holder is anodized in black and all other parts are anodized in silver. These two colors of anodized aluminum are used to accentuate the three-dimensional effect of the step part and bring out the presence of the custom parts when installed on the vehicle.
■Left and right compatible parts are used Even if parts are damaged due to a fall, the footrest, pedal arm and step plate are common parts for both sides, so one repair part can be used for both sides. It is recommended for circuit driving because it is easy to cope with troubles that may occur during driving.
■Special footrest The footrest has been processed with great attention to detail and has a shape with excellent design and grip. The footrest end is fitted with a step slider to prevent damage to the asphalt in the event of contact with the road when banking.
■Stock stop lamp switch can be installed Stock stop lamp switch can be installed: Stainless steel bracket is included to attach the stock stop lamp switch. This makes it possible to use it on public roads with confidence.
■Parts that can be installed at the same time Stock swingarm and SP Takegawa's aluminum swingarm can be installed at the same time. SP Takegawa's R. side cover can be installed at the same time.
[4 positions detail] ■Position 1: Street position (approx. 145mm Back / No UP) In the street position, there are a lot of "STOP&GO" due to the influence of traffic lights and vehicles, and it may take a long time to run. By setting it to the street position, you can have more room for your footing and riding position when stopping, and it does not rise too high, easing the bending of the knees and reducing the fatigue caused by long hours of riding. Also, the left and right pedals have two positions that can be changed, allowing you to set your preferred pedal position for a more comfortable riding position.
■Position 2: Touring position (approx. 150mm back / approx. 20mm up) The touring position is suitable for light winding in the mountains and mountain passes. You can enjoy the bank angle and speedy cornering which you can't do on the street on the gentle mountain road. Because it is not full back, it reduces fatigue in long touring.
■Position 3: Racing Position A (Approx.150mm Back / Approx.30mm UP) ■Position 4: Racing Position B (Approx.150mm Back / 40mm UP) Racing position A / B is suitable for deep bank angles on road courses and tight corners such as kart courses.
