My GROM has 181cc BBK fitted. I replaced my ST-1m(centre of photo) with the POP Yoshimura ST-2M camshaft(R.H. of photo, std.cam L.H. of photo) and reset ECU. The ST-2M idles smoother and feels like the ST-1M at low RPM. At mid range RPM the ST-2M delivers strong smooth power, about the same feel as the ST-1M. At high RPM after 8kRPM the ST-2M keeps pulling and feels strong to near 9kRPM. The St-2M gives my GROM a smooth even power feel throughout the rev range which lasts longer than the ST-1M which feels a bit flat after 8kRPM. I reckon the ST-2M Yoshimura camshaft will make the ST-1M redundant and improving on the ST-2M will be very hard. The ST-2M is a must have for your 181cc BBK GROM. Thanks POP Yoshimura. The ST-2M camshaft was developed to bring out the performance of the stock head in the GROM 181cc big bore version and the 125cc standard version.
Bolt-on camshafts to replace the stock camshafts (*1).
The new original polynomial profile enables stage 2 camshafts without the need to change valve springs.
Both power and torque are emphasized at high rpm, and powerful acceleration can be obtained up to the rev limit.
Fuel adjustment is required when using the product (*2).

■Unique cam profile settings
Yoshimura's camshafts are designed by our own know-how of cam profile.
The design of the profile begins with the knowledge of the standard engine specifications.
The profile characteristics of Yoshimura camshafts are determined based on the engine speed and characteristics to be used.
The next step is to express the determined profile characteristics and values.
From form to number...Yoshimura's long years of know-how lead to the profile.
A prototype camshaft with the profile created in this way is installed in the engine and checked to see if it actually has the characteristics as expected.
If the expected characteristics are not obtained, the design is redone from the beginning.After the repetition of this series of work, Yoshimura's original cam profile is derived.
■Integrated production control
Yoshimura manages the entire production process, including centering.
Camshaft's material is carefully chosen to reproduce the profile.
Heating to the product causes a distortion of camshaft, or loss of its strength. To prevent such results, cam lobes are not molded by heating.
In order to make the camshaft hard enough for the engine, the best heat treatment is selected from various methods and applied.
