Is your motorcycle's ignition system healthy?

Points ignition circuits common in classic motorcycles. Actually most classic motorcycles lose power significantly due to the deterioration of the ignition system, its difficult to start and loses its punch in the low and medium speed ranges. One of the most essential systems in a motorcycle is its ignition system. In order for a motorcycle to run, its ignition system must function properly, and a variety of issues can occur if it doesn't work well.

So if you are bothered by these ignition problems or you don't want to be bothered one day, a highly successful ignition system tuning is necessary.

Get Maximize potential

The three most important elements of a gasoline engine are "good mixture," "good compression," and "good spark. This "good spark" means a stronger spark, a larger flame center and optimal ignition timing, resulting in more power, more torque, better fuel economy and fewer misfires.

For this purpose, not only increasing the spark strength but also widening the plug gap is an effective means.

However, if the plug gap is widened, the required voltage will increase drastically, which may cause ignition loss or poor combustion in the case of a normal ignition coil.

After analyzing the ignition characteristics of the stock igniter, an ignition map of unique taste is created and set in the control unit. Classic bikes such as KAWASAKI Z1 and HONDA CB750FOUR use mechanical ignition systems called points ignition. As it is, the degree of freedom of ignition timing setting is low, and it is difficult to obtain the ideal ignition map. By installing AS Uotani's SPII Full Power Kit, not only powerful spark but also digital control of ignition is achieved. In addition, since the points are replaced by pickup coils, there is no need to worry about the maintenance and life of the points.

SPII Power Coil Kit
The SPII Power Coil Kit does not come with a control unit. Instead, it comes with the SPII power amplifier. CDI ignition does not require a power amplifier because the current flowing through the coil is very low to begin with. This is a universal kit, but there are also kits for specific models for some vehicles. Also, for classic bikes that use point ignition, the life of the bike is greatly extended because the current flowing to the points is reduced.
