TIMGP4212.jpg Parts & Gear Reviews

As the saying goes, "fashion starts at the feet," and no matter how great the specs are or how well-designed the vehicle is, if the tires don't match, it can look a little strange. You can choose the tires when you change the tires, but you can't basically choose the original tires. The tires will be used for at least six months after the motorcycle is delivered, and up to a year and a half. So, let's check out the tires that the new Honda model is wearing!

I wonder if the GB350 has tires that match its stylish design!

What tires does the GB350 have on it?

IMGP4207.jpg
The GB350 is a stylish motorcycle from Honda, which is riding high on the success of the Reveal. It's a simple motorcycle with an upright, single-cylinder engine and a really orthodox body design, but everyone says, "This is the kind of motorcycle I want! It's a simple motorcycle with an upright single-cylinder engine and a very conventional design.

The 350 cc engine also has an ultra-long stroke, more than that of Yamaha's SR series, and is expected to provide the kind of pulse and torque that you'd expect from a single. Rumor has it that the price of the vehicle will be affordable, and it is definitely a vehicle that we expect in 2021.

The GB name is also very good, as it gives a sense of connection to the GB250 and GB400 that existed in Honda's past!

Size 19-inch front, 18-inch rear!

IMGP4222.jpg
The GB350 has 19-inch front and 18-inch rear tires, instead of the more common 17-inch tires. This 19+18 inch combination is the same as that of the famous SR400 when it was introduced (18+18 inch in later years). Nowadays, this size is used by Kawasaki W800 and Meguro K3.

The 19+18 inch is the most common size found on so-called 70's vehicles, and while it's not as nimble as the 17-inch in terms of handling, it's perfect for recreating the gentle ride and feel of a good old 70's motorcycle!

Even if it is considered for touring use, the sense of stability brought by this front 19 inches seems to have the merit of being able to obtain a sense of stability in high-speed driving because the body is small. There is customization of SR400 to make 18-inch model to 19-inch to reproduce the early front 19-inch, so it is good that it is 19-inch from the beginning!

GB350 Front 100/90-19 GB350 rear 130/70-18
W800 Front 100/90-19 W800 rear 130/80-18
Meguro K3 Front 100/90-19 Meguro K3 rear 130/80-18

Here are the tires that GB350's using .......

THE standard touring tire!

As a touring tire, it is used on a wide variety of vehicles for its natural handling and gentle ride without any quirks. Because of its modern, sporty design, it has recently been used as the factory tire for the Ninja 250.

With its long-stroke engine and touring tires, it has a neo-classic design, but seems to have a strong focus on touring applications. This is the perfect choice for using the GB350 for touring.

Want to make your GB350 more classic?

Now, the GB350 is wearing the GT601 tires, which is an honorable tire, but it has a classic design. If you want to make the most of it, you'll have to change the tires to look like that! Tires of this size cost about 20,000 yen even if you replace the front and rear tires, so it's easier than replacing the exhaust system! And you can create a sense of understanding.

So before I investigate tires for the next motorcycle, here are two tires that will surely suit the GB350.

Bridgestone: ACCOLADE AC03+AC04

Vintage to look at! I especially love the vertical misalignment on the front. It's also great that the grooves are etched all the way to the edge of the tire, something that's rarely seen on tires these days!

The design is somewhat like what you see in the new photos of the famous CB250 Export of the past, which is a high point. The two-tone color of the CB350, which is an overseas model of the GB350, is similar to that of the CB250 Export, so if you want to customize it in that direction, I recommend it!

By the way, it is a classic design, but the content is a modern tire, so there is enough grip and wear.

Dunlop: GP SERIES TT100GP

If you're looking for a little cafe racer customization, there's no better tire than the TT100GP!
This historic tire follows the traditional design of the TT100, which was created in the late 1960s as a high-grip tire for British high-performance motorcycles!
The modeled TT100 was a tire that played a major role in the Isle of Man TT and other races of the day! These tires are indispensable for recreating the atmosphere of that time.

Before actual use, check the tire size of the vehicle to see if there is any interference.

Fashion starts at your feet!

The GB350 is sure to be very popular even before its release.

Overall, it's a neo-classic motorcycle with a simple design and a touch of modernity. The Neoclassic design means that it will look great with the latest specification tires as well as the classic ones we've recommended. Personally, I think the Road Classic that Michelin is planning to release in the near future would also be a good fit.

Anyway, the image of your motorcycle will change completely depending on the tire you choose. I suggest you think custom when you choose your tires!
