Motorcycle and self introduction

[Self introduction]
I'm an elderly rider in my 50s. I've been riding motorcycles for about 40 years, since high school. I've ridden CB50S, RZ50, RZ250R, GPX400R, GPZ900R, K1200RS, K1200S and RnineT Racer.

[Motorcycle introduction]
I'm currently using my R nineT Racer. I chose it for its cafe racer, air-cooled horizontally opposed engine, and single seat style. It seems to be a motorcycle that is supposed to be custom made and I want to play around with it in various ways.

There's a lot going on, but in this article I'd like to introduce you to the rearsteps.

Customization in particulars

The STD footpeg was too far behind for Japanese physique because the height of the brake pedal was not adjustable.

There were no custom parts when the motorcycle was first released, so I had to be patient with it.

Custom Points

I consulted BabyFace who sells rearsets on RnineT, but they couldn't find any that would fit on the Racer, but they agreed to make one for me by letting me keep my own RnineTRacer as a development motorcycle for 3 weeks.

That way I have a good rearsets that is simple and directly related to the driving experience.

Brand: BABYFACE

The motorcycle listed on their website is my own motorcycle due to the fact that I entrusted it to the BABYACE as a development motorcycle. I like that too, and I'm kind of proud about it.

BABYFACE is a company located in Tondabayashi, Osaka, and it was a valuable experience for me to bring my own motorcycle to the factory and have them make it for me.

[Points that I think are cool]
Machined aluminum rearsets and footpegs are processed by knurling machined to prevent slipping. It looks simple and the silver color is a good match for the frame color of Racer.

[Points where performance has changed]
The place where you can choose the position of 15mm forward and 18mm upward from the STD footpeg. A variety of adjustment mechanisms improve the footpeg position and ease of riding.

Customization that I want to do in the future

I would like to replace the wheel to reduce the weight under the spring, but I am hesitant to do so because it is quite costly.

Thank you, R nineT Racer, for participating in the custom motorcycle contest! The R nineT Racer that we've introduced here will receive 500 points to use at Webike!
