Good news technology discovery for the riders who feel uneasy to their foot fitting

Height is 30mm, drops by 30mm

The foot fitting is a serious problem for me with a height of 161cm. Whether or not it is acceptable with respect to the foot resistance, not only the physique workmanship, it is more likely that the problem of proficiency to the motorcycle is greater than no, but anyway, it is certain that the difference in seat height 30mm is surprisingly large.

In my case, if the seat height 820mm, I will feel relieved. However, if you say 850mm, you will feel blue before you ride. As for the foot fitting, it is not only the seat height, but also the seat shape and the width of the vehicle body are also affected, but anyway, please compare my foot fitting photos.

If it is a Brutale 800 of 830mm, it is okay because both toes barely reached the ground. But with the 850mm Turismo Veloce, as you can see on the photo, it's already tough.

That's why, if the seat height is as low as 30mm, I should not be the only one to think.....In some models of the advanced system, a low-height model with a seat height as low as 30mm is set by shortening the suspension stroke in addition to the installation of a low seat, but this can be said to be in response to such a demand.

Then, what if it goes down by 30mm when the foot reaches the motorcycle height?

Then, how about if the motorcycle height drops by 30mm when stopped? In that case, you won't lose the comfort of a thicker seat or the absorbency of a long stroke suspension.

Actually, it was such a pleasant technology announcement at EICMA from SHOWA.

It is named EERA HEIGHTFLEX while keeping the motorcycle height at the optimum value by enlarging the preload with a hydraulic jack while driving, as the stopping approaching, the preload decreases and the motorcycle height drops by 30mm.

It is only necessary to explain it in words because the actual mechanism diagram is unpublished, but the oil flow accompanying the stroke is used for the hydraulic jack, not the motor.

In the dampers, oil flows between the dampers and the reservoir. The oil channel is changed by the solenoid valve, and when the stop approaches, the oil in the hydraulic jack is fed into the reservoir and the ride height is lowered. When it starts to run, the oil that is supposed to flow into the reservoir when the suspension shrinks is sent into the Jack to increase the preload.

Experience in Africa Twin that was in the booth of SHOWA

In other words, by the suspension stroke, the vehicle height is not returned to the original state. At the EICMA booth, the SHOWA staff will press the suspension and let you experience it.

The motorcycle height will be high if you stroke a few times. (Photo: Left) it seems that neither a clean pavement surface nor a few 100m will be needed.
And, when the vehicle speed is low, the vehicle height will decrease. (Photo: Right) in the Africa Twin of the motorcycle demonstration, it is actuation with a switch, but the speed sensor is actually used, so it seems to optimize the timing of lowering from the deceleration.

This demonstration motorcycle is a rear-only flex-height, but the fact is that the front also planned to expand this, the effect will be more and more assured.

In addition, it is said that the motorcycle height while driving can also be optimized by linking to the vehicle load mode and travel mode, so is not it really a realistic mechanism?

In addition, we added the content of "Motorcycle Review" which is an aggregation of the satisfaction of the owner of the Webike member, the merit, the disadvantage, the purchase motive, and the advice to the rider who wants to buy it, and it will be a site to choose the bike more easily.

It is best to actually test drive, but if you are worried you can check about "Review Service" if you want!
