Here's a touring experience among the riders, who submitted the Webike Community "MOTO HACK Touring" Campaign, about using a touring item that you might be interested in.

Here are some of the other riders' favorite goodies you don't usually get to see!

In this article, I would like to share with you some of Chibaahiru's favorite touring items and ideas on his NC700X.

It's hot in the summer and many riders take various heat protection measures, but many of them have to put up with stinky, sticky helmets and wear them. If the helmet is dry and comfortable, the heat and humidity can be significantly reduced. Most helmets today have removable interiors that can be washed, but I suspect that quite a few riders have to put up with sweaty helmets to wear them!?

The main reason for this is that it's a hassle, but even the cleanest riders want to wash it, but once they do, the inner sponge doesn't dry very well, and you have to hang it out to dry for days, and you can't ride the bike in the meantime. This is what it means.

So, here's how to get your helmet dry the next day after washing it and get your helmet on in no time. With this method, even if you come back drenched in sweat from touring, you can use your helmet the next day by washing the innerwear while taking a bath. Try it out! Note that this method is something I've mentioned in my diary in the past, so you may be familiar with it.

Useful tips and tricks

Top-notch helmets and clothing are durable and reliable.

So, here's my HACK!

1. Remove the innerwear from the helmet. Everyone know this.

2. Wash the innerwear with household detergent.

The only stains are sweat and sebum, so there is no need to wash them unnecessarily thickly. Ordinary washing density is OK. Rinse well by hand and rinse. There is no need to scrub hard.

3. After washing and rinsing well, use a softener.

Floral fabric softeners often smell funny when used with a helmet on, so I recommend sports fabric softeners. I love using Lenor Sport for my everyday laundry. There are some sanitizer-plus products available these days, so a sanitizer system may be a good choice for helmets that are prone to sweat-borne bacteria.

4. After rinsing the fabric softener, squeeze out the fabric softener well with your hands.

Typically, this is where you hang your innerwear out to dry, but the water left in the sponge doesn't drain off so easily. Even if you think you've squeezed it out well and hang it up to dry, drops are still dripping on the floor. It means that your innerwear won't dry out for days.

Wrap the hand-squeezed innerwear in a large, dry bath towel. If possible, use 2-3 bath towels, double or triple them and just wrap them up. I don't tie them up.
The trick is to wrap it in a dry bath towel. Please note that dehydrating your innerwear with washed and wet laundry won't remove much moisture.

6. Hang the bath towels wrapped in the innerwear in the washing machine to dehydrate.

Dehydration time is more than 10 minutes.

7. When you take it out of the washing machine, the dehydration removes most of the water from the inner skin and the sponge inside to the bath towels, until they are slightly moist. You can then put the wind on a fan or air conditioner overnight and they will be dry the next morning.

If it's summer, I think either the fan or the air conditioner is always running, so just hang it out there. If you want to dry it faster, you can also put the innerwear wrapped in a bath towel in the dryer after dehydration.

A clean and refreshing helmet is much cooler than a mundane cool-feeling product.
Try it!

That's all, My HACK! (^^)

Summary

It's a good deal in the end because you can take care of the good stuff and use it for a long time.
