Recommended Warm Products to Keep You More Comfortable During Cold Winter Off-Road Adventure!

toptop.jpg News

This is Kohtaro, Webike's off-roader. Off-road tracks are located in the mountains or on riversides and are basically cold. I hesitate to get off from the transporter and change clothes. Also, forest road touring is in the mountains, so it's natural to be cold.

So why don't you just stay at home and relax? In this article, I would like to introduce you to the winter products that will allow you to ride comfortably even in the cold season!

Let's start with the equipment!

Normal off-road clothing is sportswear, so it is basically breathable and not suitable to wear in winter. But the manufacturers have prepared a variety of winter riding wear, so get comfortable riding!

FOX: DEFEND PRO FIRE Glove

2456.jpg

It is actually for MTB, but it is a popular model because it is warm and thin. A softshell-type thermal glove molded with a three-layer structure designed to keep you warm on long winter rides. The DWR (durable water repellent) finish repels water and can cope with unexpected rain.

FOX: LEGION THERMO GLOVE

The previous model was for MTB, but this model was developed for off-road use. The slim design provides effective thermal protection without losing operability. The back of the glove is made of heat-retaining urethane foam, but the palm side is the same as a standard off-road glove, making it easy to operate. How about for winter practice?

ALPINESTARS: THERMO SHIELDER Glove

This glove is the ALPINESTARS version of the FOX Region Thermo Glove that I introduced earlier. The entire glove is made of neoprene for excellent heat retention, and the palm is made of suede for high durability.

DFG: Icicle Glove

This glove is the thickest and warmest of all the gloves introduced here. Thin padding inside the HiPORAR waterproof breathable insert ensures warmth. However, it is also lightweight and stretchy. Recommended for forest road trips and commuting!

DFG: Winter Ride Off-Road Pants

dg0162.jpg

There are thicker pants for adventure and rally, but it's hard to find off-pants made for winter. This product is from DFG, Dirt Freak's original brand. The windproof stretch softshell prevents cold winds while riding, and the soft-feeling raised fabric lining allows for warm riding.

THOR: 22 Model Warm-up Vest

When you go to practice off-roading, isn't it only the first shot in the morning that is cold? It warms up after a while after you start riding, but it's hard until then. As its name suggests, you can put it on quickly and easily until you are done warming up. Windbreakers and the like are fine, but wearing a vest like this makes you feel like an expert, so I recommend it!

FOX: Region Jacket Soft Shell

25786.jpg

Soft shell riding jacket to protect riders from cold and wet conditions. The wind/water resistant 3-layer fabric allows excess heat and steam to escape, keeping out the cold. The sleeves can be unzipped and worn as a vest, making it suitable for all seasons!

DFG: Neofit Shirt, Thermal Type

This under shirt uses [ThermoLite], a material with excellent heat retention and quick-drying properties. The elbows are equipped with lightweight pads for safety.
Ideal for riding, touring, and commuting in the harsh winter!

FOX: LEGION NECK GAITER

28767.jpg

This is a multi-use neck gaiter that not only functions as a neck gaiter, but also acts as a mask by covering the mouth. It saves you the trouble of looking for and taking out your mask after you take off your helmet when touring. The basic rule of winter protection is to keep your body warm where your "neck" is!

Get creative with the motorcycles!

It is possible to protect yourself from the cold even if it is not something you wear on your body. We've picked out some supplies that are perfect for off-road motorcycles!

ZETA: CW Hand Warmer

ze72_9011.jpg

This product has started to sell out at the end of November every year. For off-road motorcycles that have a high percentage of handguards installed, normal handlebar covers cannot be installed. But ZETA, an off-road parts manufacturer, has prepared a handlebar cover that can be installed with the handguard attached. And this year, they've upgraded the size to L! The L size is also compatible with the large adventure handguards that could not be installed until now, as well as the scud protectors that will be introduced later!

ZETA: Scudo Protector

ZETA's handguards can be combined with various types of protectors, and the largest model is this scudo protector. It's a big one, and its windproof performance is well known. This protector can be switched between sport mode and adventure mode.

ZETA: Adventure Windshield

This is a hit product that has remained popular since it was introduced the year before last. It works great when installed on off-road motorcycles without a cowl! And it's not just a screen, it also works as an accessory stay since the frame is 22.2mm!
