Picked Up Review

The change from the S Edition seats is design-oriented.

Rating: ★★★★

I was looking for a double seat that was a little different and found one that fit the image of the Rebel S Edition so I bought it. Unlike other seats, this double seat looks like a separate front and rear.

The sitting comfort is not so bad. The seats are firmer than the standard S Edition seats, but they are well cushioned and provide adequate relief from engine vibrations. I don't think my hips will be sore after sitting for a long time. However, I don't think it's an improvement for those who find the S Edition's standard seats painful.

The product page showed a glossy seat, but the one they sent me was not glossy. I thought about returning it, but the material was decent and the cushion was good, so I decided to keep it. If you want glossy, you'd better check it out.

Also, the diamond pattern on the seat doesn't match the front and rear, so if you're worried about that part, you should also check the actual product.

It's a little slimmer than the OEM seat, but the part that hits your inner thigh is harder, so it's uncomfortable at first. It also changes your riding position, as you will be sitting a little higher and further back, if only slightly. If you think the steering wheel is too far away, this may not be the best choice for you. For something like me that wanted a slightly higher seat, this one was very comfortable to sit in.

I've included some pictures of how it compares to the OEM seat so you can see how big it is. The pillion side is much thicker. It might be a bit of a hindrance if you have a large load on the rear carrier. It is somewhat slanted backwards, so maybe the tules will fit.

My overall review is that I am satisfied. If I could find a brown or burgundy seat with the same design, I'd buy a new one.

The mounting screws for the hardware on the front side of the seat were warped, so I had to re-close them. It's a bit of a mess in a lot of ways, but I can't help it.

If you install a rear carrier, it will interfere a lot.

Since there is little to complain about with the OEM seat, and the seat has excellent footing to begin with, I don't think much attention has been paid to the shape of the seat of the Rebel 250 except for changing the pattern of the seat upholstery.

But even if you haven't experienced it, you can imagine that sitting in a pillion seat for a long time on a rough road can be a bit of torture. It's just a small, thin seat cushion that sits on the ground.

The reviews I'm going to show you here are aimed at the change in appearance, but I've used multiple large images to compare it to OEM from various angles, so you can clearly see the difference in shape! The pillion seat, with its larger seat surface, looks very comfortable for the passenger.

I'm giving it a lower rating because it's not the image I was going for, but it's been a great prep, with multiple detailed images and careful impressions that tell me more than just what it looks like!
