The rumored 660cc is up for pre-order!

The middle class of 650-700cc motorcycles is one of the hottest categories, with four Japanese manufacturers taking the lead. In recent years, a number of foreign manufacturers have entered the market, with Triumph's new three-cylinder model, the Trident, recently announced for sale in Japan.

The RS660 is a full-fledged sports model with a design reminiscent of Aprilia's flagship model, the RSV4, and is equipped with a parallel twin-cylinder engine designed to match the front bank of the RSV4's V4 engine. It is the one that became a topic of conversation with something from the first unveiling. The specs are 100PS for the two-cylinder engine, which is a little less powerful than the 600cc super sports model, but at the test drive for the international media, the motorcycle measured 240km/h on the circuit, which shows its high potential.

In addition to the design and power unit, the motorcycle will also be equipped with Aprilia's APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) electronic control package that utilizes the same 6-axis IMU as the RSV4. To be honest, there is no other motorcycle in the middle class with a 6-axis IMU, even including 600cc Supersports (the new CBR600RR has a 5-axis IMU), and when it comes to electronic control, it's definitely the best in its class!

One thing that surprised us about the RS660's equipment is that all the lights are now LED. In fact, until now, Aprilia used halogen lamps for even the lights on the flagship RSV4 model. I wonder if this was in anticipation of having to remove security parts at the track? I was personally convinced lol.

Since the RS660 uses LEDs, it seems that the main battlefield is just street and winding.

The RS660 is now available for pre-order at BIJYOGI MAN CAVE, a motorcycle store in Saitama Prefecture! It's a rare model, so if you're interested, make sure to contact the shop before it sells out!
