Here are the top 10 selling new models to review for 2020!
Continuing from the previous issue, we take a look at the most popular motorcycles of 2020 by displacement, based on the motorcycle sales figures for 2020 published in the January 1 issue of Motorcycle News. In this issue, let's take a look at the top five motorcycles in the 250cc class and below, from No. 5 to No. 1!
The 250cc class is a fiercely competitive field, but what kind of motorcycle will take the top spot? You won't want to miss it until the end!

No.5 Honda PCX150 4,212 units
The PCX150, one of Honda's most popular scooter series, has been ranked 5th! It shares the same chassis as the PCX125, which is by far the most popular scooter in the moped class, but with a 150cc engine, it's even more powerful and appealing. This year, its successor, the PCX160, will also be released, so be sure to check it out!
No.4 Yamaha YZF-R25 and MT-25 4,921 units
In 4th place, Yamaha's sports models, the YZF-R25 and MT-25, ranked in! Both of these models are equipped with upside-down forks and LED headlights in the current models, and their full equipment is probably the secret to their popularity. This is the top ranking among the 250cc sports and naked models boasted by the four Japanese manufacturers.

No.3 Yamaha Serow 250 6,200 units
Yamaha's long-selling model, the Serow 250, comes in at a respectable third place! It has made many fans as an off-road and travel motorcycle for a long time, but the production of the Serow was ended in 2020. It's no exaggeration to say that the fact that it's ranked this high without any major model changes is proof that it's a great motorcycle.
No.2 Honda ADV150 6,689 units
Coming in at number two is a new model for 2020, the Honda ADV150! With rugged looks reminiscent of its big brother, the X-ADV, and a 150cc engine based on the PCX, it's a versatile scooter that's both fun and easy to use. Its rival will be the PCX, also from Honda, but it looks like it's still going to be a big seller in 2021!

No. 1 Honda Rebel 250 13,958 units
The number one seller in the prestigious 2020 250cc class is the Rebel 250! This will be the third consecutive win for the Rebel 250, as it was also number one in sales in 2018 and 2019. What's scary is the rate of growth in sales: about 5,000 units in 2018, about 8,000 units in 2019, and 13,000 units in 2020, more than the previous two years. In 2021, will it be a fourth consecutive victory?
Summary
What did you think of the top 10 250cc class sales figures for 2020, along with the first part? I think you can see that the hottest new models and the most popular models were well represented in the list. Personally, with three 150cc scooters on the list, I felt that this class has become a familiar one. Also, as of last year, half of the entries were Honda vehicles, indicating the high market share of this class.
Will the Rebel 250 continue to be the dominant motorcycle in 2021? Or will another motorcycle take over the top spot? It's going to be a year not to be missed!
