I'm going to introduce you to motorcycles recommended for touring down the road, along with the voices of actual users!

What is the recommended motorcycles for touring down the road?

Motorcycles that are fun to tour on ordinary roads! The main models are small to mid-displacement models that focus on lightness and ease of handling rather than speed.
Because they don't use the highway, scooters, and minibikes, which are 125cc or smaller, are also popular. Large-displacement models were also often chosen for the same reason, though the emphasis was on looks and an easy position rather than power.

The voice of the owner who rides the motorcycle recommended for touring down the road.

Here's some of the feedback from owners who say their actual motorcycles are recommended for touring down the road! I've picked them up by displacement so you can use them as a reference when looking for a motorcycle!

Motorcycles under 125cc recommended for touring down the road

CT125 Hunter Cub

Purpose of purchase, use, comparative models I fell in love at first sight at the Tokyo Motor Show 2019. The use is almost only leisure. There is no comparison motorcycle. It is the one and only.
Strengths/Satisfactory  This is a motorcycle that will excite your adventurous spirit. It has so much low-speed torque that you can't believe it's a 125. It is a member of the Cub series, but the riding performance is not a Cub.
Weaknesses and complaints Although I knew it, I still want 5 gears. There is a lot of vibration at high rpm. The headlight is dark, so if you ride at night, it is better to have an auxiliary light.
Advice to prospective buyers This is a very popular motorcycle, so the backorders are not half bad. If you want it, you need to order it as soon as possible. If you have the actual motorcycle, you can buy it immediately.

Middle size motorcycle (~400cc) recommended for touring down the road

Estrella

Purpose of purchase, use, comparative models It's a longing for a motorcycle that doesn't have to ride fast and can go at its own pace. I found a dead stock one in a nearby prefecture (Ishikawa prefecture though, about 250km from my home).
I was worried about the purchase, but the funding was secured by liquidating five motorcycles I had on hand. This is my second ESTRELLA, having previously owned a 2012 model. I guess I like the retro style after all.
Strengths/Satisfactory  MADE IN JAPAN
In recent years, there have been many vehicles produced overseas, but the quality and construction of the product must be satisfactory. A motorcycle that can satisfy even if it does not ride fast.
Weaknesses and complaints None
Advice to prospective buyers. 2020/5 current, you can still get a new motorcycle. If you are attracted to the virtues of slow riding and want to ride at your own pace slowly, this is the place for you. There is no excess or deficiency in body structure and engine output for normal driving. I think it is one of the best matches for Japanese road conditions.

Large motorcycle (~1000cc) recommended for touring down the road

CBR650R

Purpose of purchase, use, comparative models I found it and loved it when I was thinking of returning to a bigger motorcycle. It looks like a SS and rides like a tourer. But it is very cool.
Strengths/Satisfactory  It looks like a 1000RR at a glance and has a comfortable position. It's also compact and easy to handle. The fact that it is not riding as expected.
Weaknesses and complaints Maybe it's because it's still new, but there's not a lot of options for external accessories. I end up relying on genuine accessories. I'm looking forward to the parts that are coming from all over the world.
Advice to prospective buyers The used market is still high, probably because new motorcycles are only available at Dream. I got a very good used one, but there are not many choices, so I guess the amount of distribution will increase in the future. Then, it may become cheap.

Large motorcycles (1001cc or larger) recommended for touring down the road

Zephyr 1100RS

shitamichi_05.jpg

Purpose of purchase, use, comparative models I wanted to ride an out-of-print motorcycle, and when I was considering various options, the ZEPHYR1100RS that was in my favorite shop caught my eye. It's a 2002 model, but it's over 18 years old, so I'm going to enjoy restoring it.
Strengths/Satisfactory  KAWASAKI, air-cooled 4-cylinder DOHC, carburetor motorcycle.
RS Wire Spoke Wheels.
More secure footing than it looks.
The sound is massive.
Weaknesses and complaints Is it the place where it tends to be compared with Z1 and Z2 of the out-of-print old motorcycles? It is recommended for those who have a strong sense of riding ZEPHYR.
Advice to prospective buyers. The ZEPHYR1100RS has also been out of production for more than ten years. There are few vehicles in good condition, and the used motorcycle market is gradually getting higher, so if you are considering buying one, please do so as soon as possible.
