The KTM Adventure series already includes the Big Adventure 1290 and the Middle Adventure 790, and the 390 is a small adventure. With its oddly shaped headlight, under guard, voluminous tank, and handguards, the 390 is a smallish model that continues the style of the Adventure series.

The single-cylinder engine and the trellis frame seen through the cowl are based on the 390DUKE. More off-road-oriented suspension and 19-inch front wheels, the 390DUKE is equipped with special features befitting an adventure model.

Foot grounding and position

[Seat Height]

855mm

[Foot grounding]

The seat height of 855mm seems a bit high. The seat is also a bit wide, perhaps with comfort in mind, so my legs were open and my feet were on their toes. The vehicle itself is relatively light, so I wasn't worried about supporting myself even when standing on my toes.

When riding, your legs don't feel cramped and, combined with the wide, high handlebar, the position doesn't feel too strenuous on long rides.

Test Drive Reviews

Even though it's a single-cylinder engine, the 390 DUKE is still a fun, sporty ride, and while the 390 DUKE was more of a low-rpm romp, the 390 Adventure is still able to turn it up to high rpm and use the full 6-speed transmission for a crisp, crisp ride. The feeling was the same. Despite appearances, the motorcycle raced through the winding roads. Due to the foot-long suspension and higher position, it doesn't have the pattering turnaround of the 390DUKE, but it doesn't feel like a pain in the ass. While its siblings were available with spoked wheels, this 390 is only available with cast wheels. As a result, it's also a good match for the road.

The position keeps the upper body in a natural seated, uncomplicated posture, which makes long-distance touring more comfortable. However, when it comes to high speed cruising, you'll feel the fatigue from wind pressure, as the stock screen is attached, but it's not very windproof. Similarly, the vibration is 100km./As the RPMs go above 6,500 rpm above h, the vibration naturally becomes a concern.

Electronic control is rare in this displacement range, with traction control and switchable ABS. You can also add an optional quick shifter with up-and-down support, which is also useful. In touring, the fact that there is less clutching is only an advantage. I want an adventure model but the big one is too much for me. But you want to enjoy an adventure model with the latest equipment. If you want to enjoy an adventure model with the latest equipment, then this 390 Adventure will be the one for you.

The headlights, taillights, and blinkers are all LED. The oddly shaped headlight design is reminiscent of the 1290 and 790 adventure series and features a two-stage adjustable screen above the headlight.

[Meter]

A 5-inch full-color TFT LCD meter is used to display basic information such as a speedometer and tachometer. The speedometer and tachometer as well as ABS and TRACON settings can be viewed on the meter. And with the optional KTM MY RIDE feature, you can connect your smartphone to the instrumentation. With the optional "KTM MY RIDE" feature, you can answer the phone and control the music with a switch in your hand. There is also a cigarette lighter under the meter.

It has a full complement of electronic controls for the under 400 class, including an optional quick shifter for up and down, traction control, and two types of ABS for off-road and cornering.

Tank capacity: 14.5L

The capacity is not that large for an adventure model, but it is acceptable for long-distance touring. The catalog value shows that the cruising range is about 430 km, so it is not likely to be troubled with refueling.

[Seat]

390adventure_25.jpg

The seats are split front and rear, with ETC and rear storage space under the pillion seats. The seat looks thin at first glance, but when you sit in it, it's surprisingly well cushioned. The large grab bars provide a high level of comfort when pillion riding.
