[Simple Introduction]
・Motorcycle History/How to Enjoy a standard motorcycle
I have never run out of motorcycle history for 35 years. It is my way of enjoying my motorcycle but lately I am into touring most of the time. (Before I used to use my motorcycle for commuting, but I can't afford of using it for unreasonable reasons such as illegally because riding a motorcycle is really dangerous.) It's been a long time since I rode on the mountains and had been riding to an off-road race.
Speaking of how I enjoyed my motorcycle, I enjoy buying scrap motorcycles and repairing them. In fact, I am making a battered MAJESTY 250 right now. And I think this motorcycle will take a lot of work since it was in bad condition for a long time.
・How long have you been riding on this motorcycle?
I have been riding this motorcyle since I bought it as a second-hand motorcycle last 2008. With a total odometer of 50, 000km.
・Reasons of Buying this model
I also used to ride ZZR1100 before and wanted to ride a 1000cc class SS. I really wanted to get GSX-R1000 but I found a bargain and bought it impulsively.
[Satisfaction/Advantages]
・As for Application
Since this is an FI model, it is lightweight, easy to start the engine, and easy to manuever. The storage space for small items under the seat is small enough to fit tools, rainsuit and etc.
・For Travel
And that surpised me! It's fast, turn and stops well. I never fell down no matter how I ride. Well, I stand for it. (Laugh) Fuel efficiency is not so bad either. It will consume about 15km/L for both city and touring. Many of you may think that this number is not good, but it is a good points for me (laugh).
・For Appearance
Its design which doesn't feel old is still cool.
[Unsatisfactory/Disadvantages]
・As for Application
I think that the position is easy for SS, but after all long-distance touring is so tiring. This may be just me, but my hands are numb. You weight may relay on your hands. By the way, I recently conducted various of vehicle inspection as my emission stopped passing during inspection but I can't just quit because of that, I have to introduce the power commander and set it as a reference value. Also, the light intensity of the headlight is decreasing, so it will be the next issue.
The mirror will always break if you stand behind it (Laughs)
・For Travel
I do not complaints at all. It is just fun no matter how I run.
・For Appearance
It is so cool that I have no complaints. Only the rear fender, because it is too large and made unobtrusive.
[Summary (Recommended Riders)]
The price is very reasonable now, so I recommend it to those who do not have enough money. It may cause you a lot of trouble unless you are a person who can perform some maintenance since the price is cheap with more mileage. I think that it is fun to customize various parts because there are still abundant parts available.
This photo was taken at the time of purchase. The fender was smoothed. It is good to have this but I took it back every after vehicle inspection. Other than that, there is almost no changes.
