We will introduce CRF1000L Africa Twin Adventure Sports whose rider is "a feeling 20-year old man rider" from MY bike.

The Adventure Sports is a refined model of the CRF1000L Africa Twin Standard for off-road use. The Adventure Sports series has a low-down (Type LD) version with a good foot grounding, and a large front side pipe and skid plate as standard equipment. In addition, the fuel tank of the standard version has a capacity of 18L while the Adventure Sports has a 24L big tank which regards as its major feature.

Since the DCT version that can ride like an automatic vehicle is also on sale, there may be many people who can not decide which type they will purchase.

The feeling 20-year old man rider said that he wanted "Africa Twin" since the time of the original model, but it was quite hard to buy it those days. When the new CRF1000L Africa Twin was newly released, he was about to give up because of the poor foot grounding. But, the Adventure Sports of the Type LD (Low Down) was released after that, and it seemed that he had contracted a test ride and purchase it right away.

The comment says, "It’s really Super-Comfortable for riding and it seems you can go anywhere." “Heated Grips and Power Socket are standard equipment” may also be included in the reason for “Super-Comfortable”. If you purchase all the standard equipments by aftermarket-parts, it will be so expensive. So, it is nice to be equipped with many gadgets as standard.

Of course, the Type LD is recommended for those who worry about the foot grounding (seat height). If it is still hard, you may be able to take various measures for foot grounding, such as lowering the seat height by 2cm through removing the seat and changing the setting position of the seat.

Advantages:
Adventure Sports is Super-Comfortable. I may go anywhere. Heated grips and a power socket of a standard equipment are very helpful. The Adventure Sports has an exhaust sound that is unlikely to be OEM exhaust. The color is a long-awaited tricolor in a gold wheel and white frame. This has enough fuel efficiency of 23km/L for a standard ride. Moreover, regular gasoline can be used.

Disadvantages:
Since the engine guard is not equipped, I have to attach other brand parts later. I think it was better to equip it from the stock. I have no complaints for now.

Advice:
Adventure Sports is a great motorcycle for those who travel long distance, such as long touring and camp touring. There are many evaluations that the maneuvering by pushing and walking of the Adventure Sports is not so good. Certainly, the Adventure Sports has a big body, so it is not easy. However, I used to have the Harley-Davidson and the Skywave 650 in the past, and the Adventure Sports was easier than that. As for the foot grounding, my height is 167cm and the Africa Twin Type LD, but the seat height is no problem in the standard position. If you are still worried, you can lower the seat height by 2cm through removing the seat and changing the setting position of the seat. Please use it as reference.
