SWM is Italian motorcycle brand.
SWM was established in 1971 and has been building Italian designed motorcycle ever since.
Flagship series fo SWM is "Classic Series" in their current products.
There are 3 models from classic series and this Gran Tourismo is the lastest one that is in the market.
Gran tourismo is not a remake of old motorcycle. Looking at the motorcycle in detail, you will find it as brand new modern style motorcycle.
Unlike those pure classical look european motorcycle, Gran Tourismo adopts sharp line and edgy design.
Steal side cover, decal, upright megaphone twin exhaust sure do give you a classical image, but I would say it's a mixture of classic and modern.

I heard that tank design follows the latest italian trend.
Now the engine is air-cooled single cylinder. You can have yourself enjoy the beat and rythem of each combustion.
You will probably feel the peak of it's characteristics around 4000rpm for these kind of air-cooled engine.
There were many air-cooled big single engine before, but there are only a few as a new model these days.
So Gran Tourismo's value of existance is something rare and something we can feel the joy of riding big single sports from the latest models.
Front fork and rear suspension works very smoothly.
Let's straddle
as straddling, front and rear suspension moves smooth, enough to feel they actually stroke firmly.
This smooth and firm stroke sure gives you a taste of european style's confortable ride.
The seat is also very soft and thick enough to give you no pain even on a long ride.
The height of the handle is high, just at the right position so that you can relax and control the ride.
The capacity of the fuel tank is 22.5Liter. Very big compare to the model in a same category.
With this soft seat, easy riding position, comfortable suspensions and big capacity tank, I see the reason why the manufacturer named this model "Gran Tourismo".
The size of the tire is 19 inches for front and 17 inches for the rear.
Tire is very thin and big in diameter so that you will strongly feel the tires rolling due to the centrifugal force.
That leads rider to feel the tire has good grip to the ground securly.
At the corner, you will feel 19 inches front tire lead the rest of parts follow into the corner.
Handling is very soft and obedient.
You can turn the handle slow with confidence.
As a summary, this fulfilness of being a owner of Italian made and designed motorcycle.
Air-cooled big single engine's value of existance.
Old fashion mixed with modern design.
