[Test Ride Report] DUCATI [X DIAVEL] a Cruiser Model with its Own Worldview.

It is the first CRUISER model of DUCATI.

It held the Press Test Ride Event of X DIAVEL. X DIAVEL is the first cruiser of DUCATI. The representation of cruiser in DUCATI was not used as a word that represent the traditional DIAVEL. So, what does DUCATI bring out if they make cruiser... this X DIAVEL will correspond to that question.

X has a various meaning such as X means it multiply the sports and cruiser. It also mean as an unknown thing.
When we talk about past DUCATI, it arrays keyword such as high-performance, passion and race but X DIAVEL is also referred to us as a model that aimed the paradigm shift which change the traditional concept. DUCATI is more luxury while including the view of the Red that has been cultivated and it has been focused on the speed on the straight line instead of in cornering.

It is a manhood in the noble and beautiful cruiser.

The additional stylish essence is new such as enjoying the naughty theme of [BUSTER] while having a rider with dress suit rather than the rider in a leather suit style. You cannot grasp the entire overview of X DIAVEL without understanding its concepts and values.

The styling is further characterized with a longer and lower silhouette than the existing DIAVEL. It has a strong sexy line with the mass centralized in L-twin, the identity of DUCATI. It is equipped with many high-performance parts such as full LED front light with daytime running light, rear light, diamond coating fork, brembo M50 brake caliper and machine processing wheels. It exactly finished as a luxury cruiser.

The X DIAVEL is the model seeking perfect fusion of the "Low-speed excitement" as a cruiser and the true fun of sporty riding by DUCATI. Therefore, it has been given 3-numbers such as 5000/60/40.

[5000] represents the rotation speed that the newly developed water-cooled L-type twin cylinder engine will generate the maximum torque of 13.1kgM. Compared with the specification of the existing DIAVEL (11.9kgM/6250rpm), you should know that X generates large torque at lower rotation. The engine displacement has increased from 1198cc to 1262cc due to stroke up and it also increase the maximum output from 112PS to 156PS. In addition, it is equipped with a DVT (Variable Valve Timing) that has been adopted to a new Multistrada. It obtain a smooth and powerful output characteristics of the entire rpm range.

[60] represents the number of available riding positions. With 4pcs. of footpeg, 5pcs. of seat, 3pcs. of handlebar each, it is also possible to arrange it in 60-ways.

And also, [40] is a number that represent the maximum bank angle. It can be expected that X has almost the same cornering performance even compared it to a 41-degrees of standard DIAVEL.

And also, it is fully equipped with state of the art electronic devices which are also present in the recent DUCATI speciality, such as brembo & BOSCH 9.1ME Cornering ABS System, power launch that supports to a fully open start with safe, 3-types of riding mode, and traction control.

X DIAVEL Own Worldview

In this test ride, it feels like "It is different from any other motorcycle." thing. Of course, no doubt that the existing DIAVEL is related to it, but the low and long unique position state clearly the X Own Worldview such as a flat and big-hearted riding feeling and beat the feeling when accelerate even from slow speed at top gear.
I'll convey the detailed impression later, I want to write down for me that I've had the slight excitement to remember along with the freshness of the feeling in this time.
