MV AGUSTA Launched RUSH 1000: The Newly Developed Hyper Naked.

The MV AGUSTA announced the launch of the new hyper naked motorcycle “RUSH 1000” based on the BRUTALE 1000RR. The RUSH 1000 embodies the unique, fearless appeal of a thrilling drag racing motorcycle that takes you just a few hundred metres and competes in a strictly timed stopwatch.

The RUSH 1000 is the only mass-produced motorcycle equipped with a radial valve and titanium connecting rod in order to achieve 208hp on public roads (racing exhaust system of 212 hp or more cannot run on public roads) and the latest ECU. The hyper naked, which breaks the limit of maxi naked bikes and boasts the best performance, reliability and control, has been born.

■ Product Information

The front headlight unit has been inspired by the exclusive RVS #1 that makes the design special and features even more distinctive technology. A full LED unit designed to enhance active safety and increase riding pleasure, equipped with cornering compatible functions. The headlight support and circular frame are made by CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining light alloy to enhance the design and its functionality. The back cover of the lighting unit is made of carbon fiber. The carbon fiber is also used in the minimalist passenger seat covers and tail side panels. The tank cap is made of aluminum and has CNC machining.

The typical element that defines the inspiration behind this model is the rear enclosure wheel, a typical structure seen on the drag strip. The forged aluminum rear rim is covered with a carbon fiber cover designed for optimal aerodynamic performance. The fixed nut on the single side rear wheel is an aluminum alloy with CNC machining. The front wheel has been adopted a spoke type to reduce the appearance of weight and contrast.

The integration of the rear tailpiece, passenger seat section, and rear light unit is specially designed for this motorcycle. The exclusive exhaust system (not for public roads) is made by hand from titanium and has a carbon fiber heat shield. The mapping of the control unit is exclusive to the exhaust system, so linear delivery is achieved and tremendous power is demonstrated.

The RUSH 1000 is more original than ever before, boasting the technology and driving dynamics of the BRUTALE 1000RR. The inline-four-cylinder engine equipped with the MVICS ignition injection system (Motor and Vehicle Integrated Control System) has eight injectors (the four lower manufactured by MIKUNI and the four upper manufactured by MAGNETI MARELLI) have been installed to increase the flow rate.

The ELDOR EM2.0 engine control unit has been equipped with a MIKUNI throttle body (full ride-by-wire). The pencil coil has been equipped with “Ion Sensor” technology, detonation, and mismatch control.

For traction control, there are four types of engine management maps (Sports, Race, Rain, and Custom) with eight-level settings and inertial platforms that have been equipped with wheelie control. The frictionless MV EAS 2.1 (Electronic Up and Down) transmission system has been further improved in ease of use and response speed.

Technical features of the inline-four-cylinder engine includes a new crankshaft and a redesigned lightweight piston. The combustion chamber is perfectly improved and has a radial valve designed with F1 technology. The titanium connecting rod, which was created from the race experience, utilizes MotoGP technical parameters to reduce mass, load, and inertia of the engine.

Also, the selection of the central timing chain, which is the tradition of MV AGUSTA, has been inspired by MotoGP and can mitigate the effects of camshaft twisting during high speeds.

The suspensions (fork, shock absorber, and steering damper) are equipped with an OHLINS EC unit with the electronic control of hydraulic compression and expansion. In this system, riders can choose the pre-setting or manual setting to increase the chassis capabilities according to the preferences of the riders and course conditions.
