Suzuka 8hours Endurance Road Race will be held from July 28, 2016 (Thursday) to July 31 (Sunday).
Same as the last year, Coca-Cola Zero is the crown sponsor and the race is held as the 39th "Coca-Cola Zero" Suzuka 8hours FIM Endurance World Championship.
The 39th traditional race event
Since Suzuka 8hours endurance race is held in midsummer, many participating riders have been suffered from the intense heat. Same to spectators, they watch the race under temperature of higher than 30 degrees Celsius. This year, again, many lines of gorgeous flags of Coca-Cola Zero will be fluttering and Coca-Cola Zero will help spectators quench their thirst.
2017 Race to be final race of EWC
The 2017 Race will be held as the final race of FIM Endurance World Championship "EWC". EWC's schedule is changed so that it begins by Bol d'Or 24-our endurance world championship race in France in September 2016 and ends by Suzuka 8-hour endurance race in July 2017.
This is the result of negotiations that Euro Sport Event, which has been an EWC promoter since 2015, conducted with each party concerned in order to reinforce the program and to expand viewers.
More foreign teams are anticipated to participate in the traditional Suzuka 8-hour endurance road race which the world pays attention to. The number of participants from Asian is increasing. Suzuka 8-hour endurance race will be such a race that places where motor sports are expected to become popular in the future try to achieve.
