The second round of the 2021 FIM World Endurance Championship, the 12 Hours of Estoril, will be held near Lisbon on Saturday, July 17. The 2021 season got off to a hot start with the opening round in Le Mans, and the 12 Hours of Estoril is expected to be just as exciting.
Works battles for top spot expected in Estoril
Yoshimura SERT Motul will enter the Portugal race as the leader of the standings after their win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but they will not be able to escape a fierce battle here. The YART-Yamaha Official EWC Team, winner of the 2020 Estoril 12 Hours, will surely be the biggest rival of the new Suzuki factory team. The battle for the top spot between the Suzuki and Yamaha works teams at the 24 Hours of Le Mans was ended by mechanical problems, but it looks like this year's Estoril 12 Hours will be no different.
