BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM One Step Ahead in First Test

The first test ride

BMW's factory team, BMW Motorrad World Endurance, turned heads with a dominant display of speed in the first test run at Le Mans. VRD Igol Experiences was also increasingly aware of its ambitions, posting the second fastest time, ahead of the factory team squad.

With a lap time of 1:36.096 seconds, the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team beat off six competing teams to win the first test, beating the fastest lap time of the 24 Hours of Le Mans set by Randy de Puniet in 2017 (1:36.408). The BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team, led by Werner Daemen’s, in its second year of FIM EWC participation and the debut of the BMW M1000RR, has certainly been preparing for the world title.
