Webike IKAZUCHI Racing
Thats what we have achieved this season. Would have been nice to win the rider's championship as well but due to circumstances beyond our control, Anthony West finished the season in 2nd place overall despite only racing in 3 of the 6 scheduled rounds. But it is what it is and it's been a Long time since a non Factory backed outfit has won anything in this class.
Overall its been a fantastic season for us. Getting to work with TOP riders like Ant West, Sheridan Morais, Randy Krummenacher, Joe Francis was really an eye opener. Also young blood like Liam MacDonald also proving that he has a lot to offer in the coming years. Also to Patrick Li, if there was a personality award, you would have won it for sure.
But this really goes out to the team. The boys, Azizi Naser(Msia), Nobuyuki Kasahara(Japan), Sum Ma(HK), Chandra Mohan(Msia) and Ian Irving(Aus)(also camera shy). Despite diff cultures and language challenges, we do our best to make it work.
Most teams have 15-30ppl working in the team to cover all aspects. This is what we have the whole year with abit of help here and there from round to round.
It's amazing what you can achieve when you put your mind to it.
Also thank you to all our sponsors and everyone who contributed to this cause. We will not be where we are without you and your help.
Saying that, we come to the end of 2018 season. What dawns beyond this, am not sure. But till then, we just need some sleep.
