Loris Cresson will start his home round of the FIM Endurance World Championship next month with high hopes of success.
The Belgian rider reckons the sprint-style format of the 8 Hours of Spa Motos combined with MAXXESS by BMRT3D Pirelli Motul’s fifth-place finish in the season-opening 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans last month means there is no harm in aiming for a big result at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
“Because it’s an eight-hour race maybe we can do something more than the top five,” Cresson said. “But it’s nice to be at home and it’s an amazing track with a lot of fast curves and so long. I’m really excited for Spa and I hope we can deliver a good race for the fans.”
Cresson partnered new team-mates Mathieu Gines and Isaac Viñales to fifth place at Le Mans and second among the independent outfits behind the category-winning ERC Endurance squad.
The result marked the Kawasaki-powered team’s best result in Formula EWC since it stepped up to the headlining division in 2024 following several seasons competing in the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World Cup.
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps hosts Belgium’s EWC round from 6-7 June. Ticket information is available HERE.
