Moto Ain returned to the FIM Endurance World Championship at Le Mans last month after a season away from the EWC.
The winner of the 2019-20 FIM Endurance World Cup for Teams was back with its familiar Yamaha YZF - R1 motorcycles but competing under the Motoain Racing Team banner and featuring all-new rider line-up of Vincent Ferre, Pierre Galas and Jorde Manneveau.
Despite its best efforts, Motoain Racing Team managed 281 laps before retiring having qualified 37th out of 53 entrants.
A Motoain Racing Team statement read: “This race has been littered with bumps. The three falls experienced never discouraged the team, which showed strength at every step. The mechanics have done an outstanding job throughout these first 11 hours. Giving up is never obvious but you must know how to make the right choices. The motorcycle was too damaged and it was becoming dangerous for everyone. Thanks to our partners thanks to whom we could try this adventure. The whole team was perfect.”
