FORMER EWC CHAMPION SIMÉON BACKS NEW PRODUCTION CATEGORY
FIM Endurance World Championship title winner turned pit reporter Xavier Siméon has backed the new-for-2025 production-based FIM Endurance World Trophy. FIRST EWC PRODUCTION LAURELS GO TO TEAM SUPER MOTO RACING
Team Super Moto Racing claimed victory in the first round of the inaugural FIM Endurance World Trophy for entry-level production motorcycles, held as part of the 24 Heures Motos. Its all-French rider line-up of Cyril Leroux, Bastien Mejane, Firmin Prodhomme and Jérémy Saint Pol won ahead of ARTEC. NATIONAL MOTOS HONDA FMA GOES BACK-TO-BACK IN EWC SUPERSTOCK
FIM Endurance World Cup title winner National Motos Honda FMA made it two victories in a row in the highly competitive Superstock category at Le Mans. With Johan Nigon replacing Sébastien Suchet following the Swiss rider’s retirement at the end of the 2024 season, National Motos Honda FMA moved into an early lead and took a comfortable victory in the 24 Heures Motos with Guillaume Raymond and Valentin Suchet completing the long-serving team’s line-up. O’HALLORAN REFLECTS ON PERFECT START TO YART EWC CAREER AFTER TOUGHEST RACE
Jason O’Halloran made the perfect start to his career as a Yamalube YART Yamaha EWC Official Team rider in the FIM Endurance World Championship by winning the 24 Heures Motos at his first attempt. The Australian was recruited to replace Niccolò Canepa following the Italian’s retirement from riding at the completion of the 2024 campaign. Despite having never raced on the Circuit Bugatti before, let alone at night, the 37-year-old excelled as he partnered new team-mates Marvin Fritz and Karel Hanika to a famous Le Mans victory. RECORD-BREAKING 41 PERMANENT TEAMS SIGN UP FOR EWC ACTION
A record-breaking 41 permanent teams were in action when the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship fired up at Le Mans. The sky-high list for the 24 Heures Motos was the highest number achieved since Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports became EWC promoter in 2015 under a long-term agreement with governing body the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme. CLICK FOR FULL STORY.

DI MEGLIO: RAMOS HAD TO PUSH DURING DRAMATIC EWC OPENER
Mike Di Meglio backed team-mate Román Ramos after the Spaniard’s fall in the final hour of the 24 Heures Motos ultimately cost Kawasaki Webike Trickstar victory in 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship season opener. Having initially been named as its fourth rider, Ramos returned to Kawasaki Webike Trickstar’s race line-up in place of Christian Gamarino, who was injured during the opening day of the Pré-Test earlier this month. After delivering an epic ride to snatch the lead from Yamalube YART Yamaha EWC Official Team just before the eight-hour mark, Ramos continued to excel as the race progressed and was onboard when the earlier rain returned nearing the final hour. RIVALS NOT LAUGHING NOW, SAYS CHECA AFTER ERC’S FIRST EWC PODIUM
David Checa says it’s time for ERC Endurance to be taken seriously after the German squad banked its breakthrough FIM Endurance World Championship podium in the 24 Heures Motos. Spaniard Checa, a four-time EWC champion, was speaking following the team’s capture of third place in the Le Mans season opener, which marked its EWC comeback after a year away and its return to BMW power following four seasons running Ducati motorcycles. WHY SECOND FELT LIKE AN EWC SUPERSTOCK WIN FOR DAFY-RAC 41-HONDA
Dafy-RAC 41-Honda’s second-place finish in the Dunlop-equipped Superstock section of the 24 Heures Motos felt like a victory for Team Manager Julien Diguet. Supported by new title sponsor Dafy and with Takeshi Ishizuka and Kevin Manfredi part of the riding strength for the first time, the Honda-powered squad overcame late drama to secure the runner-up spot behind the winning National Motos Honda FMA team. THREE SEASONS, THREE EWC SUPERSTOCK PODIUMS FOR 3ART BEST OF BIKE
Superstock squad 3ART Best of Bike celebrated its third 24 Heures Motos podium in as many attempts to kick off its 2025 FIM Endurance World Cup bid on a high. The team’s revamped line-up of Jan Mohr, Alexy Negrier, Doriano Vietti-Ramus and James Westmoreland finished third for a total of 41 points in the Dunlop-equipped category. CLICK FOR FULL STORY.

ALL-HUNGARIAN HERT TEAM SENSATIONAL IN EWC SUPERSTOCK
Hungarian Endurance Racing Team by Moto-Jungle did what it almost did in last season’s Bol d’Or but landing pole position in the Dunlop-equipped FIM Endurance World Cup section of the 24 Heures Motos. THOUSANDS WATCH EWC STARS GO ON PARADE IN LE MANS
Thousands of fans lined the streets of Le Mans during the afternoon of 16 April to watch the 53 motorcycles contesting FIM Endurance World Championship season-opening 24 Heures Motos pass by in a spectacular riding parade. Event organiser the Automobile Club de l’Ouest worked in close partnership with several local authorities to deliver the spectacular event. CLICK FOR FULL STORY.

ODENDAAL OPENS BMW EWC ACCOUNT DURING “MOST DIFFICULT RACE”
Steven Odendaal began life as a BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team rider in a 24 Heures Motos he described afterwards as “the most difficult race of my life”. South African Odendaal was recruited by the Belgium-based squad for the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship following Illya Mykhalchyk’s switch to ERC Endurance. He partnered new team-mates Sylvain Guintoli and Markus Reiterberger in finishing the rain-affected Le Mans event in fourth overall after three crashes and an unscheduled pitstop to repair a damaged exhaust dropped it out of the victory fight. FROM FOUR TO THREE TO TWO TO 11 FOR MOTOBOX KREMER RACING IN EWC
Motobox Kremer Racing powered by 321 arrived at Le Mans for the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship opener with four riders, started the 24 Heures Motos with three and finished with two, such was the tough nature of the event for the German team. With Sheridan Morais ruled out through injury and Lenox Lehmann withdrawing, the Yamaha-powered privateer outfit called up reserve Bastian Ubl and Wójcik Racing Team’s teenage stand-in Mateusz Molik, the Polish Supersport 600 champion, to partner Daniel Rubin in the twice-around-the-clock contest. KM99 “NEVER GAVE UP” AS MARC VDS ALLIANCE BEGINS WITH EWC POINTS
ELF Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 demonstrated “relentless commitment and exemplary teamwork” to fight back and register a top 10 finish in the FIM Endurance World Championship’s Formula EWC category during the recent 24 Heures Motos. Marking the start of KM99’s alliance with Marc VDS Racing Team, the Le Mans-based event took place in challenging conditions due to the changeable weather. From eighth on the grid, Jérémy Guarnoni quickly moved into fifth place, only for accidents for team-mates Randy de Puniet and Florian Marino to result in several lengthy pitstops and leave the Yamaha-powered Belgian outfit in 46th position at one stage. STRONG EWC PERFORMANCES IN DEMANDING CONDITIONS PLEASES DUNLOP
Wim Van Achter, Dunlop Motorcycle Europe’s Motorsport Manager, praised the company’s supported teams after they “delivered strong performances in what were truly demanding conditions” during the 24 Heures Motos. Then rain-affected FIM Endurance World Championship season opener was action-packed from start to finish with a total of 202 crashes, none of which were serious, recorded at Le Mans. BOLLIGER GOES FROM P53 TO P9 IN “CRAZY” EWC RACE
Team Bolliger Switzerland staged an incredible comeback when the 24 Heures Motos opened the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship at Le Mans. In its 44th EWC season, Team Bolliger Switzerland’s line-up of Pedro Romero, Nico Thöni and Alex Toledo qualified 13th overall and 10th among the Formula EWC contenders only for Spaniard Toledo to fall at the Dunlop Chicane on the opening lap. LUCK NOT PICTURED FOR MACO EWC TEAM
Maco Racing head Martin Kuzma said luck was “not on our side” during its 20th participation in the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship season-opening 24 Heures Motos. Expanding to run teams in both the Formula EWC and Superstock categories, the Slovak outfit registered a non-finish in the former but 19th in the latter, courtesy of Czech racers Ladislav Chmelík, Kamil Holán and Martin Vašulín, plus Aleš Brzin from Slovenia, who competed under the BGR Czech Team by Maco banner. WHY THE EWC TOP FIVE WAS FINE FOR MAXXESS BY BMRT 3D
MAXXESS by BMRT 3D Pirelli Motul described its fifth place overall finish in the 24 Heures Motos as “incredible” after it dropped down to 52nd position during the rain-affected FIM Endurance World Championship season opener. Newly renamed and with Mathieu Gines and Isaac Viñales joining existing rider Loris Cresson, MAXXESS by BMRT 3D Pirelli Motul started the Le Mans event in ninth place, slipped to 52nd before fighting back to finish fifth. REVAMPED F.C.C. TSR HONDA FRANCE RIDER LINE-UP SHOWS EWC PROMISE
F.C.C. TSR Honda France banked FIM Endurance World Championship points as its revamped rider line-up took to the track in competition mode for the first time during the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans. With Mike Di Meglio and Josh Hook leaving the EWC title-winning outfit at the end of 2024, replacements Taiga Hada and Corentin Perolari joined forces with existing F.C.C. TSR Honda France rider Alan Techer. Having led earlier in the race, a spate of crashes restricted the team to seventh place in the Formula EWC ranking in eighth overall. CLICK FOR FULL STORY.

HOW A STUNNING START PUT WÓJCIK’S KRZEMIEŃ INTO THE EWC PODIUM FIGHT
Kamil Krzemień joined his fellow Wójcik Racing Team riders by delivering on his potential during the FIM Endurance World Championship season-opening 24 Heures Motos. Faced with extremely challenging conditions on a wet and slippery track, the 25-year-old made a sensational start as he charged through from 18th to third place during the opening hour at Le Mans. Team-mates Jurand Kuśmierczyk, who raced despite aggravating a hip injury during practice, and Artur Wielebski then combined to keep Wójcik Racing Team’s #77 Honda firmly in the top five as the race progressed. EWC HIGHS AND NOT SO HIGHS FOR TR27 AZ MOTO
TRT27 AZ Moto experienced the high of qualifying in the Superstock top three for the 24 Heures Motos to retiring from the top three during round one of the FIM Endurance World Cup at Le Mans. Riders Eemeli Lahti, Tom Oliver and Tom Ward excelled to qualify third in the Dunlop-equipped category. Despite a handful of setbacks, the Honda-powered outfit had fought back up to third place in class and ninth overall by 23h00. However, 33 minutes later engine failure meant a non-finish. MANA-AU COMPETITION REVEALS ‘DEVOTEE’ LAMIRÉ FOR EWC
This is Alexis Lamiré, who was announced as Mana-Au Competition’s third FIM Endurance World Championship shortly before the start of the 2025 season. Dan Linfoot was a non-starter when the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship fired into life at Le Mans. The Briton, who finished on the podium in all four EWC races in 2024 to help Yoshimura SERT Motul claim EWC title glory, was forced to make the tough call along with his Suzuki-powered team due to injuries he sustained in a testing crash in Spain during the build-up to the new season. Team 18 Pompiers Igol CMS Motostore battled back from a bike-wrecking practice crash, several falls and a time-consuming oil leak to bank 36 points in its bid to win the 2025 FIM Endurance World Cup. Finishing the 24 Heures Motos sixth in the Dunlop-equipped Superstock category in 16th overall, Team 18 Pompiers Igol CMS Motostore also had to count on three riders rather than the planned four after Enzo De La Vega was injured during Free Practice and was ruled out for the remainder of the event. BACHELIER PAYS TRIBUTE TO UNISERV MOTO82 EWC TEAM FOLLOWING 24 HEURES MOTOS
Marc Bachelier completed the 24 Heures Motos by praising the work of the Uniserv Moto82 team, which was contesting the Le Mans-based event for the third time. Based in Czech Republic but operating as a Kazakhstan entity through its title sponsor Uniserv, the Kawasaki-powered squad finished 37th overall and 23rd in the Dunlop-equipped Superstock category. Honda No Limits revealed its pride after finishing round one of the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship in eighth place in the Dunlop-supplied Superstock division. Featuring an all-new rider line-up consisting of rookies Gabriele Giannini, Edoardo Sintoni and Kaito Toba, plus the experienced Roberto Tamburini, Honda No Limits revealed the 48th 24 Heures Motos had been challenging. Aviobike WRS is already looking ahead to round two of the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship after its challenge for Superstock category success at Le Mans came to an early end. Competing with Ducati power for the first time, Aviobike WRS was in seventh place in the Dunlop-equipped division following impressive early stints from Luca Bernardi and EWC newcomer Matteo Ferrari. EWC THE “LOGICAL” PLACE TO BE FOR TEAM 202
The FIM Endurance World Championship is the “logical place to be” for Team 202, a squad made up entirely of police motorcycle riders. Managed by Florian Parret, one of the outfit’s four racers, Team 202 has competed in the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World Cup since 2018. And it will continue to do so this year because of the enjoyment factor Parret and his colleagues derive from competing in the three European races described by the Frenchman as “mythical”. TEAM 33 LOUIT APRIL MOTO RIDES “EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER” TO COMPLETE EWC SUPERSTOCK TOP FIVE
Team 33 Louit April Moto’s new riding quartet of Guillaume Antiga, Tom Neave, Dani Sáez and David Sanchís finished the 24 Heures Motos in fifth place among the Dunlop-equipped Superstock squads after a “real emotional rollercoaster”. Winner of the 2023 FIM Endurance World Cup title, Team 33 Louit April Moto overcame mechanical issues and a fall in the final hour to complete the top category top five in 14th overall. YOUNG TEAM MANAGER POUVILLON READY TO TAKE NEXT STEP IN EWC
Loïc Pouvillon guided his PMS 99 Yam Service team to the chequered flag in the 24 Heures Motos – aged 26. One of the youngest team managers in EWC history, Pouvillon is overseeing PMS 99 Yam Service’s participation in two EWC events this season with Latvian rookie Garijs Rozkalns part of the line-up. TOTAL FORAY: EWC ACE WINS AGAIN IN FRANCE
Kenny Foray continued his 100 per cent winning start to the Championnat de France Superbike with a victory double at Circuit de Lédenon last weekend. A podium finisher for ERC Endurance in the 24 Heures Motos earlier this month, the former EWC title winner and reigning French Superbike champion, has now won four races out of four in his national contest riding for the BMW-powered Tecmas outfit. EWC SUZUKA 8 HOURS ON BS12 FREE-TO-AIR IN JAPAN
BS12 will broadcast the 46th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race live on its free-to-air platform in Japan. Available in 45 million homes across the country, BS12 will begin its live coverage of round three of the EWC season at 11h00 local time on 3 August ahead of the race getting under way at 11h30. ENTIRES OPEN FOR EWC 8 HOURS OF SPA MOTOS, RACE START TIME CONFIRMED
Entries are open for the second edition of the 8 Hours of Spa Motos, round two of the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship. Taking place from 6-7 June on the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, teams have until 12 May to enter with more information available HERE. Meanwhile, the event organiser has confirmed a start time of 12h30 CET on Saturday 7 June, 30 minutes earlier than in 2024, for live television broadcast purposes.
