TRT27 AZ Moto experienced the high of qualifying in the Superstock top three for the 24 Heures Motos to retiring from the top three during round one of the FIM Endurance World Cup at Le Mans earlier this month.
Riders Eemeli Lahti, Tom Oliver and Tom Ward excelled to qualify third in the Dunlop-equipped category. Despite a handful of setbacks, the Honda-powered outfit had fought back up to third place in class and ninth overall by 23h00. However, 33 minutes later engine failure meant a non-finish
“It was with a heavy heart that we signed the retirement form but we still leave with 11 points,” a statement from TRT27 AZ Moto read. “We're not giving up; we'll see you at Spa with extra motivation.”
