ELF Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 demonstrated “relentless commitment and exemplary teamwork” to fight back and register a top 10 finish in the FIM Endurance World Championship’s Formula EWC category during the recent 24 Heures Motos.

Marking the start of KM99’s alliance with Marc VDS Racing Team, the Le Mans-based event took place in challenging conditions due to the changeable weather.

From eighth on the grid, Jérémy Guarnoni quickly moved into fifth place, only for accidents for team-mates Randy de Puniet and Florian Marino to result in several lengthy pitstops and leave the Yamaha-powered Belgian outfit in 46th position at one stage.

“Despite this setback, our riders and staff never gave up,” a team statement read. “Throughout the night and well into the final hours of the race, the team mounted a steady comeback, ultimately finishing P13 overall and scoring 13 valuable championship points. This performance is the result of relentless commitment, exemplary teamwork and shared passion. ELF Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 can be proud of bringing this gruelling race to a successful conclusion.”

ELF Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99’s home event, the 8 Hours of Spa Motos, is up next from 6-7 June. Ticket information is available HERE.
