Motobox Kremer Racing powered by 321 has been forced into another line-up change for the FIM Endurance World Championship season-opening 24 Heures Motos.
The stalwart German team had planned to field new recruits Sheridan Morais and Twan Smits alongside Daniel Rubin in 2025. But Dutchman Smits was ruled out through injury earlier this month, while South African Morais withdrew after he suffered a hand injury in a fall during Free Practice on Thursday.
Lennox Lehmann, who was brought in to deputise for Smits, will also be a non-starter for the Yamaha-powered outfit, leaving the team’s reserve rider, Bastian Ubl, to make his second EWC appearance alongside Rubin. Wójcik Racing Team’s back-up rider Mateusz Molik, 19, has been drafted in to complete the revised attack.
“It’s been a really tough week for us,” said joint team owner Georg Haas. “After being in very good spirits on Tuesday, with the package working and the riders in great form, we face completely new challenges before the start of the race. We’re still in a positive mood and are approaching the 24-hour race full of confidence and with our usual team spirit.”
