ADSS97 returned to the FIM Endurance World Cup top 10 with a strong performance in the 8 Hours of Spa Motos, a result it credited, in part, to rectifying a brake issue.

The British outfit hadn’t completed an EWC event inside the Superstock top 10 since the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans in April 2023. But it ended that run with seventh place in the Dunlop-supplied category thanks to the combined efforts of Stefan Hill, Chris Platt and Chris Walker.

A statement from the Kawasaki-powered team read: “Post-race analysis of the brake pad issues we encountered at Le Mans seem to have disappeared after JP Brakes inserts were used to reduce heat generated in the callipers.

“After the disaster at Le Mans with horrendous pad wear and distorted pads, the simple installation of the inserts transformed the performance reducing pad wear, massively reducing caliper heat generated so increasing braking performance. The Spa round was a gentle test for the next 24-hour race at Paul Ricard in September and was a massive success.”
