Pitlane Endurance - JP3 has brought in two new recruits for next week’s Bol d’Or, the fourth and final round of the 2024 FIM Endurance World Championship.
Twan Smits, a 22-year-old Dutchman, and Italian Luca Vitali, 31, have been added to the team’s Yamaha-powered line-up to chase honours in the Dunlop-equipped FIM Endurance World Cup for Superstock machinery.
A Facebook post from Pitlane Endurance read: “We take great pleasure in announcing our participation in the final round of the FIM Endurance World Championship, the legendary 24 hours of Bol d’Or and we’re lining up an exceptional team with four riders including two new recruits, Twan Smits, a promising young Dutch motorcyclist, specialising in endurance and known for his talent and determination. He stood out on the international stage for his ability to maintain a sustained pace over long distances. Twan embodies the new generation of riders, combining speed, technique, and regularity on endurance circuits.
“Luca Vitali is an Italian motorcycle rider known for his endurance and Superbike skills. He excelled in several international competitions, including the FIM Endurance World Championship EWC and CIV Superbike. Luca is appreciated for his aggressive riding style, consistency, and ability to perform over long distances, making him a valuable asset for Pitlane Endurance.”
Frenchman Enzo Boulom, part of the Pitlane Endurance line-up for the 24 Heures Motos and 8 Hours of Spa Motos earlier this season, will continue on the #86 entry along with Belgian Luca de Vleeschauwer, who raced for Pitlane Endurance at Le Mans in April.
