EWC racer Enzo De La Vega will contest his home round of the FIM Supersport 600 World Championship next month after being handed a wildcard entry for the Magny-Cours counter – further highlighting the importance of the FIM Endurance World Championship.
De La Vega, who competes for Team 18 Sapeurs Pompiers CMS Motostore in the Dunlop-supplied FIM Endurance World Cup for Superstock machinery, will ride for the Perles De Fruits Racing Team for the Supersport 600 round from 6-8 September, one week prior to the Bol d’Or EWC finale.
The 25-year-old posted the following on Facebook: “I have the great pleasure to announce my participation in the French round of the Supersport 600 World Championship. Thank you to my team, Perles De Fruits Racing Team, Fédération Française Moto and Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours to get a one-event spot for this round. And thank you to Dorna for giving me this new opportunity to show my potential. I would [also] like to thank Saint Laurent, PM Caristo and GMT94, without whom this event would not have been possible. Thank you also to all my partners who supported me at the beginning of this season.”
De La Vega will head to Magny-Cours a winner after he claimed a victory and a second place in the French Superbike Supersport 600 event at Circuit Carole last weekend.
Meanwhile, Circuit Paul Ricard hosts the Bol d’Or from 12-15 September. Ticket information is available HERE.
