Loïc Arbel’s capture of the French Supebike Challenger title came on the back of a “breath-taking season full of determination, talent and self-exaggeration”, according to his Tecmas Racing Team.
Arbel, an outright podium finisher in the FIM Endurance World Championship, put the title beyond doubt with a win double at Circuit Carole in France last weekend.
A Facebook post from BMW-powered Tecmas Racing Team read: “After a breath-taking season, full of determination, talent and self-exaggeration, Loïc gets the challenger title. A huge congratulations for this well-deserved title.
“Tecmas thanks him for his confidence in his transition from 600 to 1000cc. Thank you to the supporters, partners and everyone who has believed in him throughout this incredible journey. The best is yet to come”.
Arbel is set to contest next month’s EWC season-deciding Bol d’Or (12-15 September) as part of the Tecmas MRP BMW Racing Team Superstock line-up.
Meanwhile, there was more title success for EWC riders at Circuit Carole after Corentin Perlolari clinched the French Supersport 600 crown.
