Yamalube YART Yamaha EWC Official Team returns to Circuit Paul Ricard and to the scene of its 2023 FIM Endurance World Championship title triumph next month with the prospect of landing back-to-back EWC crowns in its “own hands”.
That’s according to team rider Marvin Fritz following the squad’s podium finish in last month’s 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race, which it completed with a six-point title advantage over Yoshimura SERT Motul ahead of the season-deciding Bol d’Or from 12-15 September.
German ace Fritz said: “We head into the Bol d’Or leading the championship, with our destiny in our own hands as we look to defend our title.”
Team-mate Niccolò Canepa added: “We never gave up and showed our true character; the entire team came together to pull off a spectacular race, and now we can head into the season's final round full of confidence.”
