Having raced for Universv Moto82 Team in the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans in April, Théo Vigneron will be back on FIM Endurance World Cup duty when Circuit Paul Ricard hosts the season-deciding Bol d’Or from 12-15 September.

But rather than riding for the Kawasaki-powered Czech Republic-based squad, Vigneron will join the French Team X-Trem Racing outfit to ride a Dunlop-equipped Suzuki in the Superstock category.

Vigneron, who is also from France, is part of Team X-Trem Racing’s four-strong rider line-up, which is permitted under new rules for 2024 allowing Superstock squads to field four riders rather than the maximum three allowed in the Formula EWC category.

“It’s something to try this year,” Vigernon said. “It’s a new rule and maybe it will be easier for us financially but even on the track. A 24-hour race is quite hard, with three riders it’s a real race but because of the new rules we will try with four riders.”

Joining Vignernon are Thomas Baufle, Vincent Gauthereau and Sébastien Picot, the President of Team X-Trem Racing, which placed fifth in last season’s French Endurance Championship.

“X-Trem Racing has existed for almost 10 years,”* Picot explained. “We started as a FFM-affiliated motoclub in order to bring together members and share the passion for motorcycle on the circuit. Subsequently, we organised trackdays on different circuits and very quickly we embarked on competition. We went through various French speed championships then very quickly we were attracted by endurance. We thank Damien Saulnier and Jean-Marc Adam for their support.”
