DUCATI’S SUZUKA EWC CHARGING RUN JUST FOR STARTERS, SAYS CIABATTI
Ducati’s second fastest time in the Top 10 Trial and its run to fourth place after a stint in the lead of the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race is just for starters, according to the company’s Paolo CiabattI. A key member of Ducati’s title-winning MotoGP operation who now heads up its motocross efforts, Ciabatti was at Suzuka earlier this month to watch Ducati Team Kagayama’s impressive FIM Endurance World Championship debut with riders Hafizh Syahrin, Ryo Mizuno and Josh Waters. TEAM SUZUKI CN CHALLENGE POTENTIAL WOWS EWC STAR MASSON
Étienne Masson believed Team Suzuki CN Challenge had the potential to reach the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race Top 10 Trial but insisted gathering data for the future was more important than on-track success at Suzuka for the FIM Endurance World Championship’s ground-breaking new entrant. Competing in the Experimental class in round three of the 2024 EWC season, Team Suzuki CN Challenge’s factory-supported GSX-R1000R CN SPEC utilises 40 per cent bio-sourced sustainable fuel, plus other eco-friendly products. MOTOGP STAR ZARCO MAKES THE GRADE WITH DEBUT EWC VICTORY
Johann Zarco became an FIM Endurance World Championship race winner at his first attempt in Japan, describing his achievement as a “big relief”. Zarco, a race winner in MotoGP, joined forces with Takumi Takahashi and Teppei Nagoe to form the Team HRC with Japan Post squad that banked a third straight win in the Suzuka 8 Hours and handed Honda its 30th victory in the iconic event. ARENAS “VERY PROUD OF VERY SPECIAL” EWC SUZUKA 8 HOURS PODIUM
Albert Arenas went from Moto2 to the FIM Endurance World Championship podium when he finished third in the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race for Yoshimura SERT Motul. ROLFO PRAISES “PERFECT” TEAM ÉTOILE FOLLOWING SUZUKA EWC SUPERSTOCK TOP THREE
Roberto Rolfo has praised Team Étoile following his podium finish in the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race. Rolfo, who was racing at Suzuka for the first time since 2003, partnered team-mates Hikari Okubo and Yudai Kamei to second place in the Dunlop-supplied Superstock category in Japan’s round of the FIM Endurance World Championship. It was the BMW-powered squad’s maiden FIM Endurance World Cup podium and followed on from the France-based Japanese team’s first pole position at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps last month. EWC SUPERSTOCK RACER RAYMOND: YOU CAN’T IMAGINE HOW HARD SUZUKA 8 HOURS IS
Guillaume Raymond has said it’s impossible to understand just how hard racing in the Suzuka 8 Hours is until you experience it for yourself. Raymond was part of the National Motos Honda FMA team that finished fifth in the Superstock section of the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race, a result that enabled it to extend its lead of the FIM Endurance World Cup to 53 points. BALTUS TEMPTED BY MORE SUZUKA EWC ACTION
Barry Baltus isn’t ruling out more appearances in the Suzuka 8 Hours following his debut in the FIM Endurance World Championship. The 20-year-old Moto2 podium finisher joined Auto Race Ube Racing Team for Japan’s legendary EWC counter and shared the #76 Suzuki GSX-R1000R with home ace Takuya Tsuda and Australian Anthony West, a stalwart EWC racer and Suzuka regular. GINO REA: SUZUKA EWC RETURN SURREAL
Gino Rea said returning to Suzuka for Japan’s round of the FIM Endurance World Championship was “surreal”, almost two years after he sustained serious injuries in a crash during practice for the 43rd Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race. Rea was left in a coma following the accident on 6 August 2022, and fought through a long and arduous recovery and rehabilitation period. CLICK FOR FULL STORY.

MOTOBOX KREMER RACING GETS BLUE AND THE BLUES AFTER TOUGH SUZUKA EWC LUCK
Motobox Kremer Racing endured a tough 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race after being forced to retire following 15 laps of running. The German privateer outfit had once again dug deep to make the trip to Japan through a partnership with Favorite Factory and had targeted a top 20 finish in round three of the FIM Endurance World Championship. STRONG START TO HONDA LIFE GETS EWC TATI TEAM ON THE PLANE TO JAPAN
Tati Team Beringer Racing’s early achievements with Honda power helped to secure its entry in the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race, which it completed with a fantastic top-15 finish. The FIM Endurance World Championship privateer outfit hadn’t initially included the Japanese round on its schedule but success in the 24 Heures Motos and 8 Hours of Spa Motos forced a rethink as it seeks to cement its status as the EWC’s leading privateer outfit. KM99 CELEBRATES “EXCEPTIONAL” SUZUKA EWC RESULT
KM99 has described its top 10 finish in the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race as an “exceptional result”. Starting Japan’s round of the FIM Endurance World Championship for only the second time, the Belgium-based squad finished 10th overall and ninth among the Formula EWC contenders with riders Randy de Puniet, Jérémy Guarnoni and Florian Marino. BMW BEST: FINE FIFTH PLACE MARKS A SUZUKA EWC HIGH
BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team enjoyed a weekend of personal bests when the FIM Endurance World Championship visited Japan. After posting a qualifying best of fourth place, the Dunlop-equipped line-up of Sylvain Guintoli, Illya Mykhalchyk and Sylvain Guintoli completed the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race in fifth to take third in the overall EWC standings after three rounds. ADVICE FROM EWC RIDERS AIDS SUZUKA ROOKIE GAMARINO
Christian Gamarino revealed how advice from his fellow FIM Endurance World Championship rivals has helped him to prepare for the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race. LIMITED-EDITION POSTAGE STAMPS CELEBRATE EWC SUZUKA 8 HOURS
Japan Post, Team HRC’s title sponsor for the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race, marked round three of the FIM Endurance World Championship by releasing a limited-edition range of postage stamps. CLICK FOR FULL STORY.

EWC SUZUKA 8 HOURS RESULTS GO FINAL
The results of the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance are now final following post-event technical checks. They found motorcycle number 23 (Team Tatara Aprilia) to be contravention of FIM Endurance World Championship Technical Regulation 2.8.6.3, and motorcycle numbers 52 (Termaoto@J-Trip Racing) and 806 (NCXX Racing with Riders Club) to be in contravention of FIM Endurance World Championship Technical Regulation 2.7.6.3. As such, motorcycle numbers 23, 52 and 806 were disqualified from the results of the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race. EWC RACERS TO THE FORE IN 24 HORES DE CATALUNYA
FIM Endurance World Championship racers past and present were on top form when Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya hosted the 29th edition of the 24 Hores de Catalunya from 6-7 July. Dylan Buisson, Mathieu Gines, Sheridan Morais and Rodi Pak combined to win the event for French Yamaha team BMD Performance-B Motorsport with EWC outfit Team Bolliger Switzerland taking a fine second place and a class win courtesy of its Kawasaki-powered trio, Pedro Romero, Nico Thöni and Alex Toledo. FR Moto Racing, which included EWC regulars Daniel González, David Sanchis and Doriano Vietti Ramus in its quartet, completed the podium. CLICK FOR FULL STORY.

WHAT’S NEXT? EWC TITLE-DECIDING BOL D’OR 24-HOUR RACE
After celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2022, the 87th edition of the Bol d’Or marks the second 24-hour race of the 2024 EWC season. Taking place at Circuit Paul Ricard in southern France for the 31st time, the legendary event runs from 12-15 September. Of the venue’s 5.673-kilometre layout, 1.8 kilometres are taken up by the imposing Mistral Straight. A place to pass and be passed, the Mistral requires bikes to run for 20 seconds at more than 300kph. Changeable weather and windy conditions can also be a factor during the traditional season decider. Click HERE for ticket information.
