Recommended motorcycles for custom base
[Power Focus] HONDA GB250 Clubman
This is a custom GB250 by ↑GOODS.
It is equipped with the only DOHC 4-valve engine in its class. The maximum output is 30ps at 9,000rpm! Since the motorcycle was originally designed to be sporty, it comes standard with a low, single-character handlebar and a backward-looking step.
In addition, it is good to try to choose the base vehicle by preference because there are three kinds of specifications largely divided in the early type, the first term, and the latter term!
Early type: dual exhaust system on both sides & twin carburetors, the tank is square
Early model: right single collective exhaust system & single carburetor, the tank is square
Late model: right one collective exhaust system & single carburetor, the tank looks like CB400SF
Since it was sold for more than 10 years, it is nice to see that there are many affordable used vehicles available in large numbers.
[Formative beauty of the engine] KAWASAKI ESTRELLA/250TR
This is AN-BU's custom motorcycle.
Estrella with good old British model design and 250TR with trucker style
Although the frames of these two models are different, they are completely upright and have the same type of engine. In addition to the engine, there are many other parts that can be shared or diverted, and you can occasionally see a motorcycle that looks like a fusion of the two.
Personally, I think a 250TR with a stock Estrella tank and a semi-double tuck roll seat would be really cool.
Originally, the 250TR was a trucker style motorcycle, but its simple body structure makes it a versatile motorcycle that can be any kind of vehicle. Also, if you look at used motorcycles in Webike motorcycle selection, you will find many affordable stock vehicles. Estrella may be a good choice to make use of its frame design to become a cafe racer in the style of British models. Personally, I like vehicles with front drum brakes.
[Wide Variation] SUZUKI VOLTY/ST250/GRASS TRACKER
The three models evolved in turn from the VOLTY, which was born as an old-look road model. Since they share most of the parts, it's nice to know that they are easily diverted.
Some grades are also equipped with a kick-starter. This is a good thing even if you need a smaller battery for ska tuning. The ST250 and Grass Tracker come with a stock loop frame for the seat rails, so just by installing the seat neatly, you can get a builder's custom look.
By the way, the ST250 has looped seat rails that are almost horizontal, while the Grass Tracker has upswept ones. You can find all three of these motorcycles for as low as 100,000 yen!
[Air-cooled V-twin] YAMAHA SRV250/Renaissa
It is equipped with an air-cooled V-twin engine, which is rarely seen in this class. The SRV250 has been given a traditional design, while the Renaissa has been given sporty styling. The narrow-angle V-twin engine and Norton's featherbed-style frame also show the developer's attention to detail. If you lower the handlebar, you can call it a cafe racer.
By the way, the maximum output is 27ps/8500rpm, which is quite a spec.
There are very few parts for specific models.
There are not many exterior parts and handlebars that are sold specifically for your vehicle model.
It is recommended that you research your own vehicle information as it is useful to know.
For example, What is the diameter of the front forks? What is the free length of the rear suspension and what is the diameter of the bolts? If you know these things, you will be able to find many products that can be used for your motorcycle.
