Introducing the custom motorcycles that have been submitted to the Webike Community "MOTO HACK Custom Motorcycle Contest" campaign!
Meet the custom motorcycle of Den-o who rides the XR250 Motard.
Motorcycle and self-introduction
31 years of motorcycle experience, owned more than 20 motorcycles (in a trade-in to transit loop)
The XR250 Motard was purchased for 100% commuting use.
Customization of the particulars
The aim is to upgrade each part and make a comfortable commuter motorcycle while keeping the OEM look.
[Points that I think are cool]
I aimed for a comfortable commuting experience, and I think the functions and appearance of this product are satisfactory.
(For commuting use, but not for box installation.)
[Points of change in performance]
(1) Quick engine start for commuting
(2) Visibility of blinkers
(3) Ride without fear even in the rain
(4) Non-aggressive exhaust sound
Necessary for smooth engine starting and riding
Recently, the temperature has been dropping, but the engine starts OK with one shot using the choke lever.
[Small size indicator LED]
WALENS or Unbreakable Lens (Blinker)
LED Bulb (T10 Amber 24 bulbs)
[OHLINS rear suspension + radial tires]
No more fear of riding in the rain.
OHLINS Rear Suspension + PILOT STREET
DELTA Exhaust System + MUGEN Exhaust Pipe]
An exhaust system that won't disturb the neighbors
DELTA Exhaust System + MUGEN Exhaust + Low Noise Restrictor
Customization that I want to do in the future
- Tubeless spoked wheels (the best would be a wheel like the rear wheel of the Serow)
- If there is a black headlight of the new CRF250L, I want to divert it.
In hindsight, the air-cooled single-cylinder 250cc is a valuable motorcycle. It is also a fun custom to make it easier to ride in a modern way by replacing parts that have been outdated over the years.
Thank you, Den-o, for participating in our custom motorcycle contest. You will receive 500 points to use at Webike for introducing your custom motorcycle!
